How To Use a Paintball Swab

Thanks for doing this video G, you'd be surprised at how few videos there are on swabbing your barrel on gun. It sound basic but without the basics we get no where right. I'd add that doing a dry run with your barrel maid, so you can feel when the swab is at breach and even dona visual check to see how much of the swab sticks out of the barrel tip when you have got to breach will stop you stuffing that ball thats there. I play whatever my team needs me to but I play mostly aggressive on the snake but I would play defensive cause I want to get better at my call outs from behind

Defensive or slower layout for me. Cuz it'll be really tense especially if both sides are playing similar style. and of course the building of the tension of a slow game just gets you on the edge of your seat

I’ve been playing about 2 months and just bought an Axe 2.0! I’d say more aggressive because I play mostly d side, and if I can take their dorito player out on the break I will make my move quickly to take out their center players and Seattle players given the opportunity and open lanes! Your videos have taught me a ton in the last couple months, so thank you!

as a new/learning player i prefer the more aggressive style fields. It helps me with thinking and planning on the fly on what my next move should be and where i'm going to go so that i will benefit my team.

Was more into the aggressive side but I’ve been learning to slow the game down and play the defensive side. Been enjoying it, learning the various ways the layout plays. Makes it more like a real chest match!

I like to play aggressive layouts. This is mainly due to the fact I like to get as many reps in as possible and the faster layouts give you more breakout attempts!!! Thanks for your videos and giving so much back to the paintball community!!!

I mostly just play walk ons ... never serious tournaments ... I have always used the Planet Eclipse Etek line I've owned a3,4 and 5. And just recently I finaly bit the bullet and baught an LV1.6.... as long as I use good paint I almost never breaks or chops. It's exceedingly rare. So I don't usually carry a swab on me. But personally I despise anything that isn't a micro fiber swab. Micro fiber swabs seem to be the only thing that I can take my bolt out and just push it through once and barrel is good as new. ALSO I prefer aggressive fields. In non tournament play it honestly seems the more aggressive team wins like 90% of the time.

I prefer more defensive as it’s more of a laid back style of playing. I feel you have more control of the outcome I understand may layouts call for a more aggressive style though.

I would like hybrid to allow for both styles of play, most that I have played on have all been aggressive, a layout maker that can incorporate both will allow for greater variance and strategies and not just favour the aggressive/defensive teams.

Depending on the field, I like being on aggressive field, I just hate being still. That said good job on the exalt barrel swap tips, and I will look into the exalt nipple covers. Also looks like a good easy ways to protect the nipple especially on high end regs like powerhouse.

I would prefer a more Agressive layout primary at the Center 50, just because it's a really good spot to hold snake side from as long as you have good teammates on the Dorito side.

i use them as barrelcondom. if trulu cleaning the system i need to take off the back cap and get everything in the engine as well.

Aaaaaah I was wondering why it seems like it's supposed to be pulled through the barrel fuzzy end first, then the squeegee bit. I really rarely break paint, since in Quebec, all the fields overcharge on paint, so unless you're practicing for or playing in the one league here, you're not going to be shooting more than a case in a day. The conundrum of the design of that part has bothered me for years. Thanks for the explanation ahaha!!!

I prefer an aggressive field because I like to not only challenge my team to being able to rush the opponent. But to also turn it into a defensive field in our own minds because then we can be a variable Mine field with our call outs , fake outs and tricks we can pull.

This is a good topic for discussion, but what would make it even better is if everyone who commented also named a previous layout as their example for what an aggressive/defensive layout would be. No two teams (or even players) would look at a field the exact same way. Debating on topics like this would help facilitate an environment for players to learn from each other and look at layouts from a different perspective. *Side Note* - If you're on a team and conversations like the above do not take place for any of your upcoming tourney layouts, I'd recommend doing so.

I prefer aggressive fields more just because its a faster game play but also teaches people to not be scared but i can see why some people do like defensive especially if they're more of a laid back player like pump or just a newer player but almost nothing beats risking it and getting out everyone in a point

While the adrenaline dump from an aggressive field is fun, I'm more of a sit back and play chess kinda guy. Maybe because I got my start in woodsball, or maybe because I've run some larger teams in private scenario games. The defensive field and tactics are something I thrive on.

Defensive. My squad is always trying to get a kill off the break and playing patient. Then exploit the up body situation. We found when we play overly aggressive, we tend to make more mistakes.

I like an aggressive Feld because you and your team have to be 1 and I’ve seen that sometimes on a defense s layout people might not be at together because you don’t have to worry about really big moves or plays 🤟🤟🤟

Aggressive for sure. It allows a lay out to give the impression that it’s anyone’s game until the end while in a defensive lay out the game may be over if someone is up only a mere 2-3 points with minutes left on the clock.

Definitely prefer a more aggressive layout when it comes to watching the pro matches. I also think it's better for the sport from a marketing perspective when the layout allows for more aggressive moves. The clips of someone getting bunkered, getting a 5-pack, etc are more likely to go viral on social media. Compared to clips of 4 minute matches with one body dropping at a time from a lane it's difficult to get a camera angle on.

For me, I like aggressive layouts better just because it fits my teams playing style. From a personal stand point I'm not very good on a defensive, pocket style play but when I think of my team, as a whole, we win aggressively. Communication is better the closer we are down field.

Aggressive Field Layout These field layouts showcase the true aggressive side of each player whether they play Snake or Dorito. An aggressive layout is also just a lot more fun to play on.

Defensive: It always shows the true tact of a team and an individual player to conceptualize a defensive field in an aggressive way. As the saying goes, "the best offense is a good defense". This is just as true in paintball; there's been hundreds of games on defensive fields where one team zeroed in and owned their lanes and zones and wiped out a more aggressive/fast moving team simply because they understood the chokepoints and fields of fire.
