Great jorb! Other videos take a half hour to explain this and just end up confusing people.

all this equipment, but the audio of the video is so low..
@spencermakote74368 жыл бұрын
You are entirely missing the point of the video, it is for educational purposes therefore we require to actually hear the speaker clearly in order for him to convey his points.

Can't hear if you crank the volume to hear the dialogue in the first place and get deafened by those lame ass sound effects.. lol I'm assuming he meant the dialogue being low not the music going on.

so if i understand correctly, fully normal is best used when youre working with mic level signal, half normaled works well for line level signal?

Another self-proclaimed audio pro that sees no problem with putting sound FXs into his video way louder than his badly recorded voice. So who uses your services? and did you refund them?
@bc.a6 жыл бұрын
haha I thought about this too. If you really enjoy audio recording/mixing and are a master at it, any audio that you put your hands on should be to the best of your ability. So weird when it sounds like a second grader did it.

Always someone needlessly complaining, knocking someone trying to help others. Their reward is just knowing they helped someone. I see your asses are here watching it . Why did you need help, or were just looking around for something to complain about and thought the random topic on patchbay operation was a good jumping off point.
@chrisrobson22034 жыл бұрын
The visual aspect of this video is terrible. Why would you attempt to "show" connection from patch panel to other items not shown on the screen? Am I supposed to use my imagination as to what exactly you've done? You should be assuming your audience has never used a patch bay before and is not only trying to understand how it works but also visually view the connections as a whole, not in part... ugh.. thumb down.

what? Why does that upset you? These guys are apparently a professional audio engineering studio, yet the recording quality, normalization, and weird stock sound effect usage makes this video sound worse than amateur. I seriously had to turn my volume up and down at different parts to prevent either blowing out a speaker from the sound effects or being able to hear what the guy is saying at all. It is great feedback. These guys didn't even try with the audio of this video and it's supposed to be their greatest skill. It's much worse than your average youtube video.

Normalize the audio for the video - HELL NO!!! You obviously don't understand what normalizing actually does. How about just mixing the LOUD ASS SFX to level match the dialogue? Anyone look at the waveforms of the video? Seems that a "Vid-idiot" dealt with this, not an audio guy. Import the video into Pro Tools, with the audio, then look at the gain of the SFX - THEY"RE KILLING US. Hanna-Barbara stock SFX, Sheesh!!! Nice for you to tell what YOUR patch bay does. Didn't explain clearly what normaled is, why it is, breaking, halfing... Guess good for introductory. Good attempt.
