How to use a patient lift to transfer from wheelchair to bed

In this video I will show you how to move a quadriplegic person from a wheelchair to bed using a ceiling lift. The only videos I've seen on KZbin use able-bodied actors to demonstrate how to use a patient lift or Hoyer but lifting a disabled person is completely different from lifting a person with serious disabilities. We didn't have much guidance when we got the lift, so developed this system on our own. If you have any tips to make the job easier, please leave a comment! Sorry for the delay, I just noticed this comment. The brand is Prism Medical. We bought it through Norco, but they’re widely available online. Norco installed it for us, but in our area Norco doesn’t install the lifts any longer. What they did is install the track right into weight bearing beams in the ceiling then we arranged her bedroom around that. Luckily it worked out perfectly. In our old house there were no beams where we needed them so the process was more involved, going into the attic space and adding supports.
