How to Use a PDF Planner in OneNote

This is a quick tutorial on how to import a PDF planner into OneNote, and how to copy and paste pages into different sections of your notebook.

You could also use a pdf tool to split the file in separate pages and import just the one that you need instead of the whole document. This is just me thinking out loud, because that's how I'd do it. Thanks for the vid!

It would work the same as any other program you can “write on” like good notes or whatever

Apparently there is no option to set the pages as a background on a phone. O well I'll just use a regular planner app.

Hi! Question, is this the paid version of Onenote? Or what type of device are you running your onenote on? I'm using Ipad Pro and it doesn't give me the option to "Insert" like yours does...thank you for your help in advance

This is the desktop version. As far as I know there is no paid version. Try downloading the desktop version and inserting your files from you computer and then they should show up on your iPad.

Please forgive me if my question sounds stupid. I am trying to learn all this stuff together. Should I upload the planner as a notebook, a section or a page in OneNote? Thanks a lot for this video, all of this has been so confusing.

I upload it as a page in a notebook. Start a notebook and call it Planner. Then I start a section called “planners”; that way I can upload more than one if there’s parts of different ones I like. Then a new page with the planner title. Make sure to insert it as a printout so you can see all of the pages. From there you can copy and paste individual pages wherever you’d like them in your notebook. So I use the expense tracker page in a couple of different sections in my notebook. I hope that makes sense.

It’s not a template. It’s a planner I purchased on Etsy from DPC Digitals. If you search her shop you can find a ton of different planners. Hers are the best.

You have to import it into OneNote first and then you can copy and paste the pages to where you want them

Hi! It’s just the nature of the program. It’s not really a PDF annotater like good notes. It’s more like a notebook that you can add PDF files to if you want. You just have to find the program that works for you. Hope that helps (I’m not much of a tech expert)

Go to Etsy.com Search DPC Digitals. She has a lot of planners to choose from. That is where I got this particular planner 😊

Hi thank you for the video. Can you tell me why the links don't work? I'm learning and have created a "dummy planner" in OneNote (web version), saved as PDF and opened back into OneNote, but none of the links I made are active.

Links don’t work in one note. You have to create separate pages and sections. If you want links to work you have to use an app like goodnotes. Copy and paste pages into the section you want them in like I did in the video. It’s so hard to explain in words.

I actually tried to figure it out for you but couldn’t. I think it may be a KG font. I tend to like those. Try googling “KG fonts” and see if there’s any you like !
