Finally i know how to manage the timer😃👍. Thank you for the info. Its a bit hassle when the timer is fixed by someone who knows and suddenly you got power supply disruption that makes the timer runs off depending on the power cut-off duration. Very well explained and demo video many thanks .Can these timer switches overheat if in continual use or is a slightly mild warmth to the housing of the device, a sign of faulty device or maybe the wall socket might be the cause especially if wiring is old in the house? . I'm just a little bit worried than when I'm out, if it overheats for whatever reason, be it a faulty device or faulty wall socket / older house wiring, or maybe just the device has lived out it's lifespan ? . Also how many years you think the device lasts before it should be replaced with a new one?

Is it always important to plug the timer directly into the mains ? Or into a extension lead box, then the extension lead into the mains?
@charlieshooter
@charlieshooter 5 жыл бұрын
You can plug the timer into an extension lead, that's fine. We do for our lizard's light. One thing though, you may not get another plug right next to it on the extension, depending on the size and shape of your timer.

what will happen after 24hr cycle.. do we want to reset or will it work continuously.? i need to use this to switch-off a circuit at night time (6pm to 4am everyday) and rest of the time (day time) shall be switch-on.
@charlieshooter
@charlieshooter 4 жыл бұрын
That would work perfectly for that. It works continuously. After 24hrs it just starts again.

Is the "clock" mechanically run or is it electric? Like if I disconnect the timer from the power socket, is it going to stay at the current time or will the clock be moving still?
@charlieshooter
@charlieshooter 4 ай бұрын
It is powered by the electric socket it is plugged into. It will not continue turning once it is unplugged.

Very helpful vid 👍 I’ve never understood how these timers work but that’s explained it. I’m considering getting some cheap heaters that have these fitted. Didn’t realize that you can have multiple on/off time slots.

I am looking for a switch that just works like a normal on/off switch but actually turns off after one minute. I don't want to have a manual timer gauge. Is there any information about such a switch?
