Please make sure you're using the correct cable that is supplied with your ps4 controller, or a compatible data cable. If you're having issues connecting the ps4 controller with a wire, try another wire. not all cables are created equal!

If it doesn't work for you at first, try switching out the USB cable. For some reason my controller won't connect with one USB cable but connected with another one I used. So if it doesn't connect and you've done everything right, it's probably the cable.

Probably any cable will work but it must be the same that the controller port is of. Example Type C cable

LE: DS4 is recognized by windows as a game controller, no need for DS4windows. For RPCS3 is actually not advised at all. Seems like my last comment didn't go through, such a shame. The DS4 download link must be updated (as I previously stated). A dualshock 4 works perfectly on a PC with DS4, I've tested it in steam games (Grid 2, recognizes it as xbox controller, everything works, vibration also - and I did not used Steam big picture mode) and also with RPCS3 (already finished God of War 1, playing 2 at the moment). For the wireless connection, I used a 15 year old bluetooth dongle which was instantly recognized by Windows, put the DS4 in pairing, added it in windows and DS4Windows instantly recognized it. It works the same as wired (0.5ms input lag max).

I've downloaded it multiple times and it didn't pop up with the pages your showing.. it doesn't show me anything.i click on the folder after its extracted and it just opens a folder but gives me no options for installation of the controller.so frustrating. Sometimes you have to manually select an input source in your game, or your game may not have full in built controller support.

have you used a data cable instead of a charging cable theres quite a difference between the two since a charging cable will only charge the controller and the data cable will transmit data between the controller and pc

Hi, I can use the controller just fine, my only concern is that everywhere it says that for you to know if the controller is charging when connected via cable to your pc, the lightbar on top should be blinking, and then stop blinking when it is fully charged. It doesn't blink for me though, it just continues to be the same continuous color that I chose in the steam config. Is it charging, is it not? I don't know. I just bought it so I'm clueless.

@@nathanabrogena6147 There is no such thing as a "cellphone charger" or a "PS4 charger". They are micro usb chargers. If it plugs into your controller then it is compatible with the controller. You can charge a PS4 controller using an iPhone brick plugged into the wall as long as it's a micro-usb cable connecting it.

Now Im using Input Mapper software for ps4 ds4 PC steam and everything, It is very good and lite. Works very well. No performance drop, With Ds4 windows soft.. performance drops. Anyway.. When u use Input mapper, Just create a new profile and then you can play with lights and settings, turn off and make it blink.Have fun

The only problem that you’ll IMMEDIATELY notice is the key travel time or input lag. When you play on the console, it is sharp and responsive. When you connect to PC wired pr wireless. you’ll notice a delay. Which i personally hate

So, I connected my ps4 controller to pc. UPlay did not need anything else, For Honor just worked fine. However what I do not really see, that once I connected it back to ps4, how do I reconnect it to the PC? Should I make the same pairing procedure everytime? 'Cos right now I can see in the bluetooth device list that the controller is paired, but not connected. If I push anything on it, it will turn on the PS4... :D Any ideas? Thanks!

Awesome it works with steam big picture. I just got Shadow of War on sale for $10 and it’s much more fluid with a controller. Question when pairing the PS4 controller as a Bluetooth on your pc, is it good to go once you pair it or do you need to have DS4 as well?
