Hey Brandon, thanks for the advice. I’ve always been one who lubed before coupling. However, I never had the need for lubing when uncoupling. But... getting my pin stuck in the slot could be a nightmare!!! Thanks for the warning... I’m gonna start doing so immediately. •grin• Pretty easy digging on this site. Too bad you couldn’t tie it to the F450 and tote it along to the next job site! You guys did an excellent job... if rusty steel bollards, a bit of seed and straw plus a chunk of concrete could be considered beautiful... this job was like watching a beauty pageant!!!

Now that was a lazy wind blowing there, cold is not a problem, it is the wind that makes it much worse 🥶🥶 Quick hitch will save you a lot of time Ed, much easier than pulling pins to change!! Time to get Brandon in the pickup and get him defrosted 😂

That wind was brutal! You are 100% right the cold isn’t so bad if you don’t have any wind. This is the fourth machine we have had with the hydraulic coupler and I don’t ever see myself going without it. That’s a nice couple mine is just a hand pin . Do they give you an elevation# for top of slab or do you just Subgrade down 6”plus stone or whatever you need ?

Another great video from the guys at Full Tilt. Guessing you we're not to far from home if you used Casilio Concrete again? Just switched jobs in the beginning of Dec. Had to learn to run Bobcat T770 for the 10 inch snow storm. Carpenter by day , skidsteer operator when the snow flies.lol

Great video. Bought a used 304E2 CR and didn't check the Quick Coupler for operation. So, on the work site and going through the process of changing buckets and rear wedge will not release. It's beeping but stuck on there. How do I get the bucket off so I can do proper maintenance to the quick coupler? Thanks.

On your right hand, there should be a roller on the control push that up with the rear pin released and it should open. Basically you can open any valve against it stop and it will make the rear wedge release. The only other thing it could be is that you were hoses are not hooked up to the proper spot on your coupler. I hope this helps

@@fulltiltgrading8366 Thanks for the quick reply. I did get it to work and the bucket came off. I missed an important grease fitting inside on the coupler, so that helped some. The front lock (the red one) still is hanging up and will not lock on its own. I can manually move it to the lock position (without the bucket on) then it will unlock when I press the button. So I hooked the bucket with it locked and it worked. Tilted the bucket and the rear wedge locked. So when I get it home I'll clean it up real good and make sure it's lubed real good.

@@sdr109 I always try to keep that clean and greased. Also, not a bad idea to have an extra set of those hoses on your truck at all times. If one of those hoses blows you are down. I always keep a set on each truck.

It must have been nice not having to work in a cage or squeeze between buildings. I’m looking at buying a CAT 242D skid steer with high flow to run a snowblower and since you have one I was wondering what your thoughts are on the machine? Likes/dislikes and would you buy it again

It was so nice to have some room for once! 😁 My Cat skid steer is a 242b3 but my dad has a 259D track. I like both of them. Very comfortable to run and plenty of power for the size. I think the 242D will be a great machine for you. I just wish the cab door flipped up for easily access when loading materials and then having to get off to unchain. That is my only complaint. That main power conduit was very shallow! Do ya'll make the tooth guard or buy them? Looks very handy to have and probably saves some stuff from getting cut by one of the teeth. Suprised ya'll didn't use an auger attachment for the ballast.

Some of the smaller cell carriers don’t hire quality people to do there work so you get shallow pipes and work that doesn’t last. We make all our own tooth guards out of old cutting edges. I wouldn’t do this type of work without them. Thanks for watching we appreciate it 👍🏻

How do you get the icon on the screen. On our 303 and 308 we have to go into menu select coupler every time

If you go into the menu you can select which icons you want on your home screen and what position you want them in. I will try and do a video to walk you through that. When I rent equipment I go in and change it all the time so my coupler is always on the bottom right. Thanks for the comment and for watching Addie 👍🏻

I have had about 8 cat minis since 08’ and they used to have a bar that you would put in a hole on the back of the coupler and pull to release the bucket. They worked perfectly but then they went to the wrench like you have and I started getting the hydraulic coupler. They are so handy but like I said if you pinch or rub a hole in the hose your down. Mine is a 305 E2 no problems so far just a couple of miner warranty issues I will keep my fingers crossed there is a lot more electronics on this than my last 2 the back up camera had an issue but that thing doesn’t help anyway
