I've been fishing since I was 3 years old basically my Grandpa took me fishing from the moment I could walk. And I always bottom fished with a slip sinker rig so technically I didn't even have to watch this but I did anyway because I like your channel. One thing I will say is I started off with inline egg sinkers growing up and then I switched to a sinker slider as I got older so my setup got slightly different. But I only switched to a sinker slider because I started fishing more rivers and less lakes and having that adjustability helps a lot.

I used these with the Team Catfish weight slides to make a kzbin.infoUgkxdmsDj7fQXe77DC0l7P7ua8B3PiESUubM Carolina rig and they were perfect for the ponds I fish. I have also used them to make 3 way rigs and these work perfectly. Haven't had any issues with them snagging in rocks or in weeds yet.

I know, I think Ronnie is getting it painted this summer, so he has be playing it pretty free and loose with where he drives it.

Just came across your video. I'm a saltwater surf fisherman and I'm getting interested in inshore saltwater fly fishing. But before I go stumbling down that whole new path, I'm looking for Spinning variations or fly imitations for a more fly-like presentation. Currently near me, the fly guys are the only ones picking fish...so you can imagine my frustration. I'm really like the idea of that sliding clip at the 4:43 mark of the video. I like the idea of being able to easily swap out weights. I did a quick google search but can't seem to locate it. Do you happen to know the name of the clip or direct me where I might find it ? Thank you and tight lines.

@@KnettersPracticalOutdoors any other ideas of how to monitor that line with the bail open ? I want to try this rig on steelhead but they are picky so not sure if I can get em on this rig ? Any advice

What size braided test line you have on your reel?
@KnettersPracticalOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
In the video I'm using a heavy Dacron tip-up line so it can be seen but in real use I go with 10 - 20# braid.
