I found one on e-bay for less than $90, and it came with 2,000 picks. It's in perfect condition, too. I have been using it and I love it. It helps place the stem into the grapevine wreath. The pick slides into those branches that are so tight you can't get a stem through. Julie, you are the best. I looked at a couple of other tutorials and could not get the machine work. Luckily I found yours, and you walked me through step by step, and voila.I'm now a master stemmer. I am in your Wreath of the Month Club and your ideas are awesome. I'm going to go work on my wreath.

Hello, enjoyed this video very much Learned A LOT!!! I was fortunate enough to get mine from a friend. I had no idea how to load it.... put the darn picks in removed wrap, I loaded it wrong. Googled it and viola, this video came up (I was so happy to see a familiar face!!) Well, I went to remove picks....got them out, except a few. Able to remove those, keeping the stack in tact....went to load it....ugh.... they went all over the place!! Picked them all up, loaded as went....all good now!!! We used these in floriculture/horticulture school. Fond memories 🙂 I remember we did thousands of picks at Christmas and out poor fingers were shredded. But I loved it.

I had a really old pic machine & it was Sooo heavy. They're made so much better now, but still heavy bc of what it's made of. Great investment if you make lots if wreaths. Also used one at a flower shop I worked at & I loved it. Thinking if I should invest in one of these Julie, even if I can't do wreaths every day. Merry Christmas to you and your family! 🌲❤🌲

I just bought a steel pix machine and some pix but the pix were not in packs, they are in the box individually. Is there a way to load them in the machine individually?

What! I’ve never ever seen that. It will need to be loaded individually or send them back and from another source.

I don't see the need for the pick if you are using hot glue anyway. Am I missing something?

For hot glue on other thing besides floral foam like pine wreaths where you can't just insert a pick

you always use a pick if you need length added or the stem is not strong enough to handle the glue. You can use wooden floral picks instead of this for grapevines but styrofoam arragements its ususally needed.

The picks add a lot of extra security so you never have to worry about anything falling out. Especially after you clean out a grapevine really good. Plus you have to have them with styrofoam and a lot more projects than I ever thought I would before I got mine. It makes things go faster to.

Did you oil it? You can reach out to the maker. I only recommend syndicate sales machines.

Just be careful with the picks there very sharp you can cut your fingers. Also dont tare them off if you need to take them off the flower steams use pliers or wier cuters.

It’s a great machine and if you’re planning to use flowers on styrofoam, you need it. Well, I’ve retired and I will be selling mine. BTW, Amazing how people despise or refuse to watch the entire video and then ask questions that were answered had they watched it. No time to to get educated, always rushing, like the sky is falling. Makes me wonder if they find wiping themselves in the toilet a waste of 2 minutes. Probably, they are in a rush and will get dirty again later.
