How to use AI for Family History Experiences

Over the past year, many of us have become familiar with how generative AI tools like Chat-GPT can create impressive writing about almost any topic. But AI can be much more than a writing aid-it can be a tool for facilitating a variety of family history experiences. This session will cover strategies for using AI effectively and show you how to use it to help you brainstorm engaging activities, collect and adapt family stories, and create activity books. We’ll also discuss how to build your own AI chat bots to help people get involved with family history at youth nights or family reunions.
