How to use Alcohol Markers and Sakura Pigma Micron pen (Coloring & Outlining Tutorial).

Thanks but I just have a question. Whenever I color with the markers, the lineart just smudges. Why does it smudge? And if there is a way. How can I fix that? Thank you. But your drawing is good.

It might be because of the liner pen which you are using has alcohol soluble ink. Sakura Micron pens use alcohol soluble ink, they will smear and drag color when they come in contact with alcohol ink. So it would be best to use liner pens which are not alcohol soluble ink. You can try Copic Multiliner pens as they are water and smudge proof black ink which is resistant to UV light and bleed-proof when used with alcohol based markers or simply avoid coloring on top of the lineart with alcohol markers. Haha, YT recommended this, and while the way I work with liners is different from the way you use them it's always fun for me to learn/watch the different ways people work. And a tip for anyone who has the Sakura jelly roll pens clog on them due to heat/humidity I'd recommend getting an old fashioned dip pen set with a bottle of white ink. It'll help save money in the long run. Also, using pressure like you would while inking, you can get a nice variety of different sized lines with the nibs. ❤ May be a bit hard to adjust to having to dip your pen in a bottle of ink though lol

yes you can. but make sure micron pen ink dries up before you color on them with alcohol markers. the black ink might stick to your alcohol marker tip and spread everywhere. I would actually avoid coloring on top of them.
