How to use an art journal to experiment and learn by trying new things
In this video, I want to share with you how I use my and art journal to experiment with different things, in this case I am using ashes to learn how I can combine them with other supplies or materials, such as clear gesso, white gesso, elmers glue or pvc glue, water, instant coffee, and maybe next time I will try wall paint, since I still have some left from when we painted our home.
Art journaling is where we learn by trying new things, today it was good old chimney ashes, but I have tried with salt, and rice, and watercolors, and wall paint, gesso, and so many other things, its amazing all the cool data and info I have gathered over the years, and I will share some of those art learning moments with you, so you can try it on your own art journal or included in your mixed media art, or even create your own mixed media papers or wall art, even home decor if we talk air dry clay or fabrics, the possibilities are endless.!

I love experiments...ashes is defently one of the things on my list...linenoil, agar agar or egg yolk are great binder...I would defenetly love to see you experementing...believe me you'r not the only one...I am a really chaotic crafter...I need my sorted chaos around me...soo...I learned something but I was entertained as well.

I bought some tea that my daughter in law had. I'm not a tea drinker but the smell of this one is just heavenly. And I'm using the bags in my journals. So I decided to throw some of the tea onto the coffee paper. Well, it's awesome. Leaves blue marks. And it smells good. Lol. Thank you for sharing .

i dont think ure crazy, I think u r bold. Make art is also experimenting.. touch, smell, feel the textures.. I always get my self dirty and whatever is around me, including my heir, clothes and chair... I have a very tiny space at home to make my arts and crafts, so is always a disaster... my computer, my mouse, my keyboard, my desk, my journals and even my books are full of paint, clay, vanish, and other stuff lol.. Besides... this are just "things".. it doesent metter if they're covered in paint if that makes you happy
