I wanted to combine my home automation project with my home theater and tv project. I was struggling combining them together. This worked for me. But note if your combining two projects make sure you got a back of them in some where.

I am trying to do this right now. I realise this video is 12 years old. But if there is a chance the video poster sees this. I beg you to make a updated video. I am using visual studio 2022. And i am trying to import files from a different project into a new one which i called "test". However my problem is that first of all, i do not have any .VB files like you do. They are instead called. .cs .Designer.cs .resx and if i try to copy those files into the new project "test". They will not appear in the new project. Any help is appreciated.

Hello there... .cs files are C# project files. Your project need to be in C# for you to be able to include them. If your project is in VB, then that won't work. One way to solve the issue is: 1- create a C# project in the solution, 2- include the form in the c# project. 3- add a reference to the C# project in the VB one. 4- now you can create an object of that form in the vb project. another thing you might consider is to convert the code from C# to VB. There are some online conversion tools that might help, but it requires little bit of work. best of luck.

@klutchego Hi there... I did not get your question. Could you be more specific? If you are trying to add a form that is connected to a database using the designer, you will have to have the same dataset in your project with the appropriate connection string, and then copy the form. I hope I understood your questions right. yours

Extremely difficult to follow, though the effort is appreciated. Especially moving mouse on a smaller window (zoomed view) all over the screen is really distracting. Though you selected a good topic to make a video, sadly I couldn't follow/understand anything.
