How to use an Eyelet Tool (Eyelet Pliers)

Here's a quick video on using eyelet pliers. These work with the smaller eyelets by forcing the grommet through the fabric and curling it back on itself on the other side. Very quick and easy to use!

Hi there - sorry for my delayed response! This particular type does not have a backing. The tool curls the eyelet back on itself to form the back side. There are some that have backing pieces, and in those cases the two sides "grab" onto each other when you use the tool to compress them together. I hope this helps clarify things for you!

so... they're designed to destroy whatever you pass through them? My mum just bought one of these, the back side ends up rather sharp, and scratches up whatever is put through. Great design

No you have to use pliers made for attaching grommets.
