How to use an Oxygen Tank

Need to know how to work an oxygen tank? We've got you covered! Just watch this brief tutorial and you'll see that it's very simple. To make everything work as needed, you'll want to have all of the following items:
1) A full tank
2) An oxygen regulator
3) A key (for opening/closing the oxygen tank)
4) And a cannula

Thank you so much for your easy to follow instructions. The person that brought my oxygen equipment gave me very hurried instructions and then disappeared. Greetings; I just found your informative video on Oxygen. I’ve had this tank for many years; but didn’t have to use it until now. My housemate is disturbing me about the air hole that’s next to the area where you place the (candulla/ hose to your nose)… Is air also to be released next to the area where you place the hose to your nose? I hope you receive this message; since I don’t wish to release the important Oxygen from the canister unwisely. Thank you; grateful for any help at all.

The nurse who sent me home from the hospital, when I was released on oxygen, did not know how to turn on the tank. She just set the dial to my number and trussed me up with the tank and a mask and wheeled me away. I told her to show me how to use the tank, and she turned the setting and that is it. I got half way to go get my prescriptions for home, and noticed I had no air. We went back and I told my friend to find someone. He found her, unfortunately. I honestly wanted him to find someone else. I said, "Look at this wrenching tool. I bet we are supposed to use this and maybe turn this part, or something. She tried it and got it all tightly bound up, and I had to get it loose. She said, "The tank is full." I told her it didn't matter how full it was, if none of the air was going in me. She said that it was on, and she could feel it. The wind was blowing outside. She said maybe my tubing was too long for it to work, and had me shorten it. I knew for certain then that she knew less than nothing..... We both wrestled with it a bit, and it finally spurted some air a few times, and began to spurt it a little more often. She said for me to not worry about it, since a home health care person was going to meet me at home. It is a good ways to my house. Too far to go without oxygen. They didn't come out, either. They just told me how to set up the machine over the phone, and explained a little to me about why the tank spurts --- so they gave me at least that much knowledge about it. I am glad to see this and how to only turn it one turn. I know how to use it now, thanks to you, and thanks to nobody else who should have made sure I had air getting to me from the tank.

No moron! An E tank distributes oxygen at a continuous rate through the regulator. She actually didn’t do a half bad job.
