I have always used hem tape for my hems. I am having a hard time finding hem tape. The stores are no longer selling a selection of colored hem tape. Thank you for the video. I loved it.

I can't tell if when adding the lace hem tape... in the 1st example... are you doing that the the right side of the fabric? Or the wrong side of the fabric? I've got a skirt I made... and I have this really old hem tape... no fold... kinda like your lace there... but its just a pretty purple satin 💜... I pinned it all to the right side of the fabric at 1st... but now I'm thinking I didn't so that right because when I flip it.. I will loose some of the width of the tape... hmm... ok, wait.. I think I just got it as I'm talking my way through this! Lol thanks so much for the video!

So, instead of edge to edge on the right side just need to move the hem tape up... instead of it being flush with the edge of the material... the 1st stitch is where the hem tape is actually past the very edge of the material... 🤔🙈🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤔💜

Place it on top of the right side of the fabric. It’s not a right sides together seam…. So wrong side tape to right side fabric & edge stitch down.
