@@bevereenmukubonda1740 how bad is the smell? please don't run it for more than a minute when blending... Normally a burning smell it's a sign that the motor is dying, in most cases it happens when the blender is over ran or running for longer time without rest

@@FrankCutino-bp6ng if the lever for the switch is broken and you can't find a replacement, you can eliminate the safety switch by closing the switch permanently but your motor will work even if the jug is not there... Safety will be compromised
