Depends on the audio is it voiceover or an actual music track? You will have more control in iMovie if you use clips you need to make sure you are in a quiet place for the voiceover but you have limited volume controls after that

You have no idea how much this helps me. I’ve been using all kinds of apps like movies, Trello, notes, notability and so many good project apps and all I ever wanted was a quick and easy way to put together a mini recording of my notes and videos in one place. I used to paste them all in notes. Or put them all on cards. But with clips…it’s so light weight and easy to use that all I have to do is record…and BOOM it’s added into the timeline…and if I want to add previous pictures or notes I just select them. The trim is already there and it’s every thing I want in a mini editor. I primarily use this to LEARN anywhere I’m in the go. So being able to glue notes and pictures together without having to open my camera and record every single time is perfect. Thank you! GOD BLESS YOU!

So this is an interesting on what you will want to do is import a video then preview and record while you are holding down the pre cord button you can speak over that video to add your voice over. An alternative it you use an app like CapCut or Instagram to add your voice overs too

Excellent video teaching. I learnt a lot, and applied the Memoji immediately after watching you. And greatly enhanced a new Clips video I was in the middle of making. You imported 15 minutes of video into Clips? That's very good to know! I've had problems getting the video and music sounds too. even when I've corrected the volume and silent button on the side of the phone. No sound for a good while then suddenly it is there. Can't work out why that was..

Thank you! Yea it can be interesting I have to make sure my volume button is not switched to mute when I am creating in clips. I hope they add a few more controls to help with sound soon but it’s probably a way to get us to move over to iMovie

Great question I just took a look at it doesn’t appear that both effects can be used at the same time. My suggestion would be to record yourself as an owl and then use the CapCut all to remove and change your background. I can make a tutorial for that in the new year if you want to give it a try.

whoah.. I guess I'm too old and slow to get this.. at about 7:30 into your video, while explaining AR, it appears you switched to front view on the phone/camera to "scan" the background.. then added the desired effect.. but then.. somehow you switched back to. the reverse view so you could see yourself with that AR background and I don't know how you did that. The icon for switching from front to reverse view does not appear again after I've done the scan. If this makes any sense at all, could you please tell me what I'm missing? thank you.

And no you have the right idea 😊 I am using 2 different camera for this video but the way I got myself into the AR space was by moving the back camera that I scanned the room with in front of me. Unfortunately we can not scan the room with out front camera. So you will have to hold the phone up yourself or have someone else hold and record for you.

You can change the size of the video but if you need to crop you will need to export and do that in a different or crop the video inside of the photos app on your Apple devise.

@@araasadoorian2162 I do not believe so unless the project was duplicated you could download the clip. If it was a clip you imported from your camera roll it should be in your phone. If you recorded it inside of clips and it was deleted I’m afraid it’s gone.

Not sure if they have that’s feature to add outside music. They do have soundtracks and also if you have music in your music library you can use that but I would highly suggest royalty’s free music. Outside of that if you are adding the video to a social platform you can add the music from that app as well as another option

So there is a way what you can do is make your video export it and then start a new project you will add but press preview and record. This is where you will record your voice over. When done press the clip and then press mute you will want to mute the original video audio so you can hear your voice over clearly.

I would go with iMovie for the sound quality my issue with iMovie is if you want to make vertical content you literally have to edit sideways lol

Sometimes the aspect ratios can be interesting especially if you have one of the latest iPhones. Because we can not manually change the size outside of the 3 they give us the only thing I can suggest is you pinch to zoom in a little bit on apps like instagram if that is where you are having the trouble.
