so staying nice & tight + pulling everything towards yourself Usually I'm able to hook most of the guys I pull but I have troubles in situations like this kzbin.info/www/bejne/m3XadKNtpZmlmsU So do you have any tips on how to train that finishing part ?
@KalOmnipotentGrowth
@KalOmnipotentGrowth 6 жыл бұрын
You finish the attack in the last position of the offensive hook exercise that I show. You finish by applying force on your peck and tendons going to the side. You see that he won wen he put a little more of every angle and of his whole body.

Hopefully i can learn from doing this. I either have to dump my wrist and rotate my hips and shoulders to get into a hook. It's another way it works. Thoughts?
@KalOmnipotentGrowth
@KalOmnipotentGrowth 6 жыл бұрын
Rotation is good, compensation of a weaker wrist can be a hard squeeze with the fingers and a push with the bottom of your palm
@jodywilliams7794
@jodywilliams7794 6 жыл бұрын
So less squeeze in order to get more rotation?
@KalOmnipotentGrowth
@KalOmnipotentGrowth 6 жыл бұрын
If you hold a little loose you can make a quick and hard cupping, thus rotating more yes. But your movement should be very well trained as your ability to go from loose to hard state

Повечето пъти е добре да оставиш няколко сантиметра отпред за да можеш да “скочиш” малко при завъртането на китката и да използваш създалия се луфт. След това посоката е посока подложката и твоя ръб на масата, в зависимост от стила.

It's the attack you do when pulling in hook. You can also hold in an attacking position when the game stops.
@ARMFIGHTER_

Awsome video! When pulling against another hooker and you are holding a high grip clipping your tumb, I see your hand is sliding down at the end of your attack. Is this intentional? That way you are chopping down on the opponents arm? So the high grip is only importent at the start to protect your rotation?
@KalOmnipotentGrowth
@KalOmnipotentGrowth 6 жыл бұрын
Indeed! It’s easier to apply more triceps and tendons pressure that way... once you get the better position 🙂 I would say to dropp it if you are at least half way to the pad
@ARMFIGHTER_
@ARMFIGHTER_ 6 жыл бұрын
Ok. If the opponent stopps you on the way down, would you then try to regrip higher again?
@KalOmnipotentGrowth
@KalOmnipotentGrowth 6 жыл бұрын
Nope, definitely not. You try to endure and finish the pin. Only if your pronation is a strong side you can try to bring his wrist out more and then hit again but you can do it without the clips. John B is the legend in that manner. Sadly pulling the right way doesn’t necessarily means winning every time.
@ARMFIGHTER_
@ARMFIGHTER_ 6 жыл бұрын
I see👍🏼 this helps a lot! I have had problems when I try to get a higher grip (regripping) in the hook at my attacking side. I completely loose the pressure I have gained.
@KalOmnipotentGrowth
@KalOmnipotentGrowth 6 жыл бұрын
Indeed, that’s exactly what I’m saying 🙂
@ARMFIGHTER_

Does the way you describe hooking against a top roll also apply to hooking a defansiv topp roll style?
@KalOmnipotentGrowth
@KalOmnipotentGrowth 6 жыл бұрын
Depending on how much of a side hit the defensive toproller has I would consider clipsing my finger and going more sideways then upfront. It’s a bit relative to the strengths of the opponent
@ARMFIGHTER_
@ARMFIGHTER_ 6 жыл бұрын
Ok👍🏼 So more like an offensive hook against another hook but with more side? High hook with side?
@KalOmnipotentGrowth
@KalOmnipotentGrowth 6 жыл бұрын
Something like it but you have to have good contact with your palm and the base of the grip should be again low with the pinky. The clips and the direction are the main differences
@ARMFIGHTER_

Are you allowed to bend your wrist completely back as a defence when losing to prevent them from beating you or is that illegal?
