Can you scan inventory going out also? Or do you need to manually adjust?

Depends on the use case : Scanning will take you to the row - but you would most likely check a checkbox to make it go to the next step. There are other options - feel free to email Smartsheet@EchoConsultingPM.com with a bit more detail on the desired flow!

Hello!! HRY? Do you know if it is possible to make a Vlookp from Barcode to another base?
@DrH-Lectures2 жыл бұрын
Hi there! Smartsheet Certified Product professional and consultant myself. Totally possible to use a VLookup (help.smartsheet.com/function/vlookup) this article is helpful for that. However, the core strength of Smartsheet is it's low-code capabilities and automation. You could create a report that automatically rolls up the barcode information you are looking for without the need to create a VLookup. Thanks, Ian

I have a manufacturing related question that goes along these lines. If I created a manufacturing scheduler in a column format, and my products have barcodes to quickly import information into a system for metrics, could scanning a barcode also be used to automatically move a sku/work order from one column to another within that scheduler as they move from one process to the next to update which process they’re on? It’s a very specific question, I apologize for that, but it would be extremely helpful for tracking and inventory if something like this could work and I can’t find anything about using barcodes to move a card in Smartsheet from one column to another as operators complete orders on any given process.

Feel free to reach out to Smartsheet@EchoConsultingPM.com - You can't move columns without an API function / Bridge, but you can "Update Cell" if there is standardized content based on options. You also can use "Move Row" or "Copy Row" for work around depending on the process.

Hello, does anyone know if I have just a barcode number from a normal reciept am I able to extract line item details of what was purchased just from the barcode itself? For Ex. if I have a barcode number is there a way it could tell me the items purchased were water, milk, eggs etc? Or would I need the whole reciept to get this information?
@echolocity Жыл бұрын
Yes - but I'm not clear if you are asking the question about bar code functionality or Smartsheet functionality...... Yes you can use the number to look up that info. Sorry - I think I'm having trouble with the question. If you could rephrase the example maybe I can give a more specific answer.

@@echolocity hi, my question is lets say i buy 10 items from walmart. Walmart provides me a receipt with a barcode at the bottom of the reciept. If i was to take this reciept lets say to costco, can they scan that barcode and see what were the 10 items bought? Is that possible to do?
@Charlie-ds4yd2 жыл бұрын
do you really need a barcode image attached? surely the scanner should be able to scan the barcode number.
@echolocity2 жыл бұрын
You are probably correct Charlie. Some teams prefer to have the image, and you can insert the image as displayed. Smartsheet is flexible! Thanks for the comment!

@@echolocity Pity that Smartsheet is not able yet to enter photos via FORM. It would be super useful for onsite surveys. You are entering photos directly to a cell. Thx

@@albertmarimon9521 I believe you are correct. We are currently using Microsoft Power Apps on top of Smartsheet for one of our clients in order to manage that requirement for one of their Quality checklists. - Log an enhancement request! I think it is coming! (There are other workarounds with some of the Smartsheet Add-ons that we've used to get specific attachments to specific places...... depends on the use case!)
