I just found your work recently. I am mesmerized by your talent and your work. Your story touched me. it was very sad to hear about how the industry has become and how it has made you feel. Always great creativity and skills. I've been in photography for decades, but my PT career was my sanity and financial grounding. I fully understand your perspective. The great names are primarily teaching now. SO much competition in photography. Their teaching always contains a statement like, "this will help you stand out from other photographers." It's very difficult when there are a trillion "other photographers" doing the same thing, taking the same courses. Peace and best wishes.

John, truer words have not been spoken. I honestly don't know what could possibly make someone "stand out" amidst the trillions of photographers any more. Trying to get noticed on social media seems to be all the rage, I honestly do it for the sheer thrill of creating, so I'll never stop that. But not to depend on it financially and compete with the $150 locals will save my mental health for sure xx
