I have been riding bike since past 7-8 years and what I feel if you're not going to race, that is bike is in negative acceleration, then you sure put the clutch. It always works best irrespective of speed and brake.

Ideally, holding the clutch will free up the engine from gear and let the bike roll freely. But letting off the clutch like he said will let you do engine breaking which is very useful to slow down faster. Thanks for the info.

Just use your two fingers on hand break if you press clutch on a speeding new enfield. The problem is if you are riding at medium speed ( 25kmph ) , your back tier will have a skid. It's better you hold your clutch and use your break lightly. U get know once you handle your R.E. You get know with experience.

He is kind of right but you could press clutch for safety while braking(btw I ride a standard 350 2005 model 1 owner clutch and chain and sprawket is still origional) and it's still more than one lack kilometer

Ye bilkul shi hai... Break se zyada engine breaking help krti h bike ko stop krne me.. Mai bhi 5 sal se bike chla rha hu..sab kuch ek dam nhi seekha jaa skta jaise jaise aap ka experience bdta hai vaise vaise ap ek achhe rider bnte ho.. Agr ap kisi gera ki mid ya upper limit ki speed me bike ko stop krna chahte hai to throtal chodte hue break mare aur phir jab speed lower limit pr aaye to cluth dbaye.. Ye dono engine breaking aur breaks ka ek accha combination hoga aur aache se rukegi bike. Lekin ap gear ki high speed pr pehle cluth dba k phir break marne ki soocho ge to its can be very dangerous...kyuki cluth dbane pr engine breaking kam nhi kregi aur bike bnegi goli ..phir ap maroge jor se break jisse girne ka khtra bdega.

This is a better way to slow down the bike and it reduces the wear and tear of the callipers or the drums and also the clutch plates. My father always told all these small and basic things when I was learning. Such small things only make the difference between an experienced and an inexperienced rider. BTW informative for all beginner riders.. Good work bro
