You’re basically a guardian angel descending upon those who needed you most. Thank you again. Absolute legend mate. I’d really appreciate a version on how to do this with button categories that you select rather than a search bar, I’ll probably figure it out but if you want ideas on another vid !

I'm sure you'll get it :) - I've found that the documentation is really clear once you've gone through it a time or two. If you need help feel free to come ask in the Discord. Thanks for your nice comment.

Thanks Kudzi! Enough folks asked about it so I figured I'd slap something together. I'm building a demo to show how to do autocompelte with filtering + nesting so filmed these along the way :).

I'm trying to implement this with a select dropdown that references by tags and i have multiple collection list is there way to implement it with this?
@webbae
@webbae Жыл бұрын
yes you can have multiple instances on one page. Does that answer the question? Short answer I know 😅

@@webbae hmm I guess I'm narrowing down my issue I guess first is 1. My cms list Resource has this multireference field that references tags, however I noticed on the resource cms template not all the tags show up for each despite them being there. 2. The page I'm using that has multiple resource lists when I implement the cms nest on two sections it's only applying to one of them and they are both using the same cms nest target ....
@ScottHuang-x6e

I figured out why my tags weren't showing with cms nest, for anyone that runs into a similar situation we had the cms pages redirect to home so those couldn't grab the nested tags from. So check your redirect settings if you have this in place

What am I missing here? From what I understand it, the CMS Filter Component works with static filter tags, but you somehow make it work with dynamic categories. The step 3 in your video is different from the Finsweet documentation, I don´t get it!
@neoniquestudio
@neoniquestudio Ай бұрын
Made it! :-) Actually I was able to put the categories cms collection directly in the form, , so it creates the filter labels dynamically. Thought this is not working (and it wasn´t in the past I´m pretty sure, Finsweet even offered a custom code workaround to make this possible, now it´s working right away).

I noticed there is no link to any cloneable or readonly links . Are those examples are in the courses if I purchase please ?
@webbae

Sorry no cloneable for this one but there are examples on the Finsweet website and yes my course does come with a cloneable of the completed project you can inspect.

Hi and thanks for your videos! I am still new to attributes, so not clear on this: Do I need to complete the CMS nest before moving on the CMS filtering or is this a standalone option?
@webbae
@webbae Жыл бұрын
They are separate. Can be used together as well though but in general you should only need to do one! If you are using them together you’ll probably want to hook up Nest first.

Video is nice. I have a problem with tags. I have add tags to my collection list file using multi reference field, but the problem is I can't see the tags when I want to add it to text block. Can you help me?
@webbae
@webbae Жыл бұрын
you have to use another CMS collection when you want to grab the multi-reference field data. Check out my videos on CMS Nesting. Also note Webflow can do this natively but will only show a maximum of 5 tags. Use Finsweet CMS Nest if you need more than 5 tags on an item.

Hi. If my Webflow template already has a search bar and I want to add custom attributes, will these attributes be searchable via the search bar?
@webbae
@webbae Жыл бұрын
Hey - if your Webflow template has a search bar then chances are it is the Webflow native component and not this Finsweet solution. So the answer would be no. That said if the template is not from the Webflow library the. Maybe but I doubt it!

@@alger1en give attributes a try then. The big difference is that the search is "dynamic" meaning the results can occur as you type (or press a submit button) on the same page (not redirected to a different page).
@mohamadrmdn

Hi.. I followed each step carefully, but the search isn’t working as it should. Typing doesn’t trigger any results immediately, and when I press Enter, it treats it as if I submitted a form. I’m not sure where the problem is, but I used the helper tool, and it didn’t recognize that I added the attributes in the settings - even though I’m certain they’re there. It feels like I missed something, but I’m not sure what.
