What's the point of fully automatic machine if we have to wait for wash cycle to finish before we add fabric softener? What happens if I add softener at the beginning of the washing cycle?

Valid point, if you add softener at the beginning with the detergent both will mix and be used in the wash cycle itself and it is of no use.

If you have to pause the machine for adding softener, you can't call it an automatic machine. It is semi automatic 😂😂
