Hey Andy! You have made my Phd life easier with all these tools. Thanks for that. Is there any AI for putting research papers that we write into some journal formats easily? Also can you make a video about applying to an another Phd while you already are studying Phd. How do they see you if you decide to change uni or topic or both after studying all those years? How should I approach to get accepted? Thanks

Hi Andy, I am overwhelmed of too many AI tools avaiable. Where should I start? Quick question, I have many Books PDF's and I would like to summarized them all by a keyword. But I would need citations of each resource and page number where the quote is founded. Do you have any recomendation?

I am new to AI tools and I have this question. Can AI tools distinguish between high quality research and low quality research? Or do we have to read papers on our own and judge whether the research in every paper is good or not?
@DrAndyStapleton10 ай бұрын
Good question. At the momenet the tools can present all the information you need to make that decision for yourself - you'll still need to think critically about all the papers you are reading.
@faizachemist5 ай бұрын
yes,,, thats the thing i myself experienced while using consensus.. it gives results of predatory journals/controversial journals majorly/famous for overnight publications.. at 1st while using it i thought wowww how useful but it must be used carefully.. scispace is not like that

@DrAndyStapleton How is the use of AI in your research considered in the academic field, I suppose what I mean is is it considered cheating? and do you think Consensus and other AI tools useful if you are a social scientist?
@ryancormack69344 ай бұрын
If a journal article is hidden behind a paywall, Consensus AI usually cannot access the full text, limiting its ability to include detailed findings from such sources. It might still use the abstract and metadata if these are publicly available, but the in-depth content would remain inaccessible without appropriate permissions or subscriptions.

If I use consensus through chat gpt can it do everything the paid version of consensus does or do I need to pay for both?
@LordLanceLotLegacies9 ай бұрын
TLDR People have mixed opinions on Consensus AI, with some finding it helpful for research and others experiencing issues with its functionality. 🔍 Consensus AI is a powerful tool for academic research, making it useful for people in academia and anyone looking to do research around a question that pops into their head. 📚 Consensus AI provides a summary of analyzed papers and puts chat GPT in the middle of relevant research, making it a powerful tool for researchers. 🔍 The consensus meter in Consensus AI can analyze up to 20 papers and provide a clear consensus on a research question, making it a powerful tool for finding conflicts and research gaps. 🤯 The co-pilot AI can automatically generate a literature review for your research project, saving you time and effort. 📚 The power of consensus AI lies in its ability to provide study snapshots, allowing users to access useful information specific to their needs.

I've used paid v of perplexity quite extensively, and though it is very good for doing general research, when it comes to specifically researching academic papers it's not that great
@lp_chatgpt_tutorials5 ай бұрын
@@tar-yy3ub I used both. I'd say consensus has more filters on dates, sources and research methods. It also has a Yes/No/Maybe consensus based on multiple studies. Perplexity's academic focused search mostly searched semantic scholar. Summaries are quite similar but consensus seems to be pretty targeted use. I like both
