I have the Epson wk7710 and I downloaded the Silhouette software even though I don't own a silhouette machine. I have the Cricut Explorer for my vinyl cutting. I can design anything on the Silhouette and easily print my huge images. So, I use Cricut for cutting and Silhouette for printing sublimation. Easy peasy.

You can add all your images to publisher which I do as its bit easier than Word. Then attach everything in their and size it. Then you can bypass using DS altogether. I think that’s easier. Good video though! 😊

I only just realised yesterday that cricut restricts the size of print and cut, I had just bought a design for sublimating a 20 oz skinny tumbler. I did almost exactly these steps. I figured it out. I have a Mac. When I go to print from my Cricut I save it as a pdf in my dialog box, then open in Photoshop crop out the black line save as a png and then open in sawgrass creative studio. Worked percent. Thank you for sharing the basics. Huge help!

This was very helpful with multiple prints on one page. To keep the same sizes as I had in cricut, I turned on mirror, saved it with Bullzip and then uploaded it to Silouette to print it. I changed the imported size to 8.5x11, did not mirror it in the printing process (because that was already done in cricut) and by doing this I was able to get the correct sizes and lines to still be able to cut the images out with my cricut.

Great tutorial! I'll definitely be using at least part of it when I get my Sub Printer. I have a question about changing the size of the image once you've transferred it from Design Space. You have the picture sized to 6.75 (or whatever DS limits it to). When you take it to Word and resize, will the image lose some of it's quality the larger it is resized? ...or is that "lack of quality loss" a part of the PNG format?

Hey Idaila, so far I haven't had any issues with print quality. I think as long as you are using quality PNG images to begin with (or SVGs/text) and you're not trying to make a super large print from it, you should be fine. Hope this helps! ---Becky

I had been fooled by the "sizing limitations" in cricut design space so I had switched to using GIMP (GNU image manipulation program, free and open source) which did the job, but thank goodness you taught me to just crop the image afterwards. The only font I can do by hand is Chickenscratch!
