As a broke college student with a creative streak, I decided to start a simple t-shirt business. Here's my pipeline for success: Crafted Threads for the design bundle, Amazon for a budget-friendly heat press (or borrow one like I did!), and campus events for my marketplace. Now I’m selling witty shirts that are covering my coffee habit AND my textbooks. It’s been a game changer!

After becoming a parent, I wanted something creative and flexible to do during nap time. I started with a Crafted Threads design bundle, ordered a Cricut from Amazon, and made parent-themed shirts just for fun. Turns out, other parents LOVE custom t-shirts! Selling them at community meet-ups has been an amazing way to connect with others and make some extra money on the side. Highly recommend this setup!

The effect on the letters is the thing that really caught my attention. The way they look like embossed or something like that

Love your content! Watch every video. Friendly word of advice. If you want to continue growth think about expanding your content. Think things like buying HTV off Amazon, compare ease of use, feel, quality of multiple brands on one shirt. Additional content; take those shirts to a laundry mat and run commercial wash tests. There isn't videos of commercial wash tests on KZbin. Branch out to HTV as a whole and continue to push your brand as well. Hope this finds you well. I'm excited to see your growth in the coming months and years.

I love this advice. Thank you so much for taking time into leaving this comment. I definitely agree with you about expanding my content. I was mainly just focused on getting my base videos out so I can bring in an audience so then I can further expand and provide more value to an audience that I cultivated.

This might be a stupid question but can you layer 2 different type of VTV. Like puff vinyl on bottom and flock vinyl on top. Or reflective vinyl bottom with puff on top?

Wow. I purchased a heat press and a cricut for fun 😃 The transferring process is confusing. The vinyl instructions from Amazon didn't specify which part of the paper faces up and where the transfer paper goes 🙄 Anyways I enjoy your tutorials, and your artwork is unique!

all that vinyl must make wearing that shirt uncomfortable switch to DTF vinyl is only for little designs.

If you’re using cheap vinyl then yeah probably. Invest in better supplies instead of being cheap next time you use vinyl and you’ll have a different experience.

Teachers LOVE a good t-shirt, and I realized I could turn that into a side gig. I used Crafted Threads for hilarious teacher-themed designs, grabbed a Cricut printer off Amazon, and started selling them to colleagues. It began as a joke, but now I’m selling to teachers across the district and even funding classroom supplies with the profits. If you're in education, this is a fantastic side hustle!
