I really need your words on this. I am a bit confused as I do understand the importance of diagrams however we are asked to write the answers in 200-250 words. So my question is if we are making diagrams, still afterwards we have to write the answers as per stated or we can take leverage there and can decrease the word counts? Like after making diagram, we can sum up the questions within 100 words? Please a humble request if you can clear my doubt.

Of course. You've to write just enough to address the every aspect of question asked. The examiner doesn't count words but rather sees the space occupied by your answer. Diagrams prove to be perfect time saving method for this.

No, you don't need to explain the diagram otherwise what will be it's utility? But in your answers You need to make a reference to them, e.g as clear from the above table or diagram....something like that!
