You have to press the temperature button (the one for diminishing the temperature) until the a text appears (DEG-C° If I'm not mistaken, I'm not currently in front of my oven). AND that's how you change it! 8D To change it back to °F, you press the button for increasing the temperature =)

Is there a way to have a shorter bake time without the oven starting at 30 minutes. I never use the oven this long and every time I use it I have to lower it closer to 5 minutes.

It is the default setting. If you want shorter you have to set it shorter each time.

I use cast iron. Preheat the skillet to 450, take it out and hit it with Pam. Pour in your batter and you'll hear it sizzle. Back in the oven quickly so you don't lose heat. Hope that helps.

Dehydrate Function When dehydrating do not preheat oven. Temperature Control is already set to 150°F and can- not be adjusted. Push the dehydrate button. Use arrow keys to adjust time. Dehydrate time can be adjusted up to 6hrs. Push the start button to start dehydrating.

This video ANSWERS that question. The coils go "on and off to keep desired temperature". It's perfectly normal. Re-watch video please. Or read owner's manual. It's in there.

To set the toaster oven to Celsius: While the unit is plugged in, press and hold the temperature down button for three seconds. "dE-C" should show on the display. Press the Start button, and the unit will be set to Celsius. To set the toaster oven to Fahrenheit: While the unit is plugged in, press and hold the temperature up button for three seconds. "dE-F" should show on the display. Press the Start button, and the unit will be set to Fahrenheit.

Preheating the Oven Place oven rack into the desired position before heating the oven. This oven has a preheat feature in Turbo Convection Bake and Bake mode. Select the mode, Turbo Convection or Bake. Use the temp arrow keys to select the desired temperature. Use the timer arrow keys to select the desired time. Push the Start button. Display will show PrE until temperature is reached, the oven will beep and display remaining time. At this time you may adjust the selected time. The temperature may also be adjusted. If you increase the temperature the unit will go back to preheat mode until it reaches the new set temperature. To bypass the preheat function press the start button a second time.

Can you buy better accessories for this. It came with flimsy ones, compared to a very small Breville I have used as a workhorse for 3yrs. This was a gift. The instructions are horrible. And the pans and racks are confusing. It was a QVC ad that must have gotten my friends attention to buy. But watching their infomercial, just shows them taking food in and out and no real usage info. The hard sell is the picture perfect food. Not the functions explained 🤔

Go to the Oster site and check under 'countertop ovens' for the manual. It is just the folded sheet that came in the box. The detailed manual is no longer on the web. Best options is to read the reviews on Amazon, and view the videos on you tube because a lot of tips get shared that way!

I believe the shade function determines how long it toasts. Try a higher or lower shade for the colour you want (just like on a real toaster)..

Im sorry but can someone please help me here. Ive read the manual on how to preheat but there is no beeping sound, no notification that the temp has been reached. Not only that when you put in the time for cooking the timer immediately starts before the oven warms up! So when the timer stops the food isn't even done 😂. Like is my oven broken? Or is that how Oster wants it to be done where you, guess when to add or take more time away from oven. My last convection oven was too simple you select temp then time and it would preheat first. Start beeping when temp is reach and THEN the timer would start when you added the food in oven. Guess thats too much "commen sense" for Oster. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Let it pre-heat before you put your bake time in. Pre-heat, put your pan in, enter time, start. Mine beeps when pre-heated first before changing any other commands.. Actually for meats or casseroles I don't even bother to pre-neat just chose mode, set timer, put the pan in, and touch start twice to cancel pre-heat and go directly to baking.
