Thanks for the demo, Tiff! I love the convenience, especially with not having to park hop to get a fastpass. I cannot wait to use it! But I guess you gotta make sure you bring an external battery cuz if your phone dies, you're screwed haha! Two things: Can book a fastpass ahead of time (like in WDW) or do we have to wait until our tickets are scanned at the gate before reserving? And do these work for shows (I'm assuming no as I did the Fantasmic fastpass and it was the same way we've always done where you turn in your ticket)?

Rocky Manzon II Your paper ticket is a backup to book and works the same way, though you lose the ease of skipping the physical distribution kiosks. You CANNOT book in advanced. You must be in the parks. I believe for shows you still go to the physical kiosk, but that was something I didn't get to test.

Hi Tiff. Your belief is correct, according the the Disney AP Facebook page. They confirmed "entertainment" fastpasses (like World of Color or Fantasmic) are not included with MaxPass and you have to get these the old fashioned manual kiosk way. :)

First of all your hair is GOALS and its also giving me some Mal vibes lol. It seems like basically the fast pass + system at WDW except theres still some paper being wasted however from what I heard, in general most fast passes are pretty much right away like what you experienced. Is it still difficult to get Radiator Springs and Guardians I wonder? Will it be gone like noon still?

We're going next week and want to know if I can purchase the Max pass with already having my tickets on paper from printing out from my computer. What are your thoughts on the "Galactic Infinity Pass" that Disney wants to roll out in 2025? It would cost $204 per person on top of the cost of an admission ticket, but would allow the person to skip any line for any ride any amount of times. I think it's interesting but I wonder if people would actually go for it.

When I originally heard about the max pass, I was like yeah I'll try it out. After seeing this video, I am so much more excited to visit, we spend a lot of time waiting on rides or jumping out of lines that we waited 45 mins in for rides that we haven't been on because of our Fast Pass. Having the ability to reserve and cancel Fast Passes for both parks will be so much easier on us! We try to get on as many rides as we can and this will definitely help. The other thing is we love seeing our photos with characters and from rides but they're really pricey to get them all so having that with the max pass as a digital download is even better for me/preferable.

Hi Ana. Not sure about special events, but one thing everyone should know is that MaxPass is not available for "Entertainment" fast passes, such as World of Color or Fantasmic. You still have to obtain these at the kiosks in person. Just FYI.

Wait, this is actually really cool! You actually convinced me tiff! I thought you had to wait longer to get another fast pass! You can get one right away with the max pass! The thing is my pass is linked to my sisters Disney account because she used to be an AP. Now that she isn't my pass is still linked to hers. When I try to link it to my account it says that it's linked to another account. I'm scared that if I remove it from her account something will happen to my AP!! I really want the max pass system but I'm not able to because my pass isn't linked to my account!!

You scan all of the tickets into the app, then they are all linked and you can make reservations for every ticket linked. Both of your apps can have the entire party linked so you can take turns making FP reservations on whichever device you'd like- they will be linked!

I used maxpass for the last two days. Being Australian we needed to rely on the parks wifi, which is very very spotty. I needed to keep an eye on the time we could grab a new one then head to a wifi spot. If the wifi doesn't work sometimes the pre selected fast pass would not load, so I would screen shot on my phone. It's worth it for the free photo downloads. Cheaper than a park hopper if you only have two days and want to ride all the major rides.

Yep! Your paper park admission is still linked in the system and works the same way! If your phone dies, you just lose the convenience of getting to digitally get FastPasses, which is the main point of MaxPass.

TheDisneyQueen93 Since you will get a comp ticket when you sign-in, I believe you'll always have to link the ticket then purchase your MaxPass day if for the $10/day. Since DLR doesn't have the same Main Gate CM passes that are always connected like WDW, that would be the CM solution.

I was at Disneyland last September (2018) with Max Pass and it was the best decision I've ever made, well worth the extra $10 per day. I booked my first Fast Pass right as I entered the park and was able to redeem it almost right away. When I was in line after redeeming the Fast Pass I was able to get another Fast Pass that I could redeem immediately after I got off the current attraction I was riding. Once in line for that ride I booked another Fast Pass that I could redeem immediately after getting off the current attraction I was riding. I was able to keep this up for most of the day, but there was that one time I had to come back an hour later to redeem my Fast Pass for Space Mountain.

Can I ask a question - from what I've seen you can only have 1 fast pass at once. Say you get a Radiator Springs Racers fast pass and it's still unavailable for 2-3hrs, does that stop you from getting another fast pass until that time or will it only stop you for the shorter time like this video was showing (ie with California Screaming it was saying immediate redemption up to an hour, but you could "book" another fastpass after 20-30mins - in effect holding 2 fast passes at once however only one is immediately able to be used)? Does that makes sense? Sorry I'm just confused as to what will happen with rides that have a hugely longer return time.

You can always only have one Fast Pass at a time. As soon as FP is used, you can reserve another.

But yes, you CAN hold two FPs at a time, however you have to wait until you are able to get one again. People will get Racers FastPasses in the morning with a 5pm return time, but you do not have to wait until 5pm to get another. Your reservation will say when you can get another- it's usually in about 2 hours.

I believe it depends on when the return time on the Fast Pass is. I got a Fast Pass for Radiator Springs Racers in the morning and the return time wasn't until 6 or 7 in the evening. I was able to book another Fast Pass right away even though I already had one.

Do you know if there are options for CMs to utilize MaxPass similar to the AP options? I'm a CM in WDW, but hope to visit disneyland sometime this year when I visit my family back home in CA. Also how it may work with guest passes and complimentary tickets?

I confirmed that CMs have the same option to add at the $10/day rate. That will apply to your sign-in ticket and any guest passes or comps that you use, as well. You will link the paper tickets you get at sign-in.
