The fact that the Engineer, the most difficult tower in the game to obtain, is worse than the Accelerator in almost all scenarios just goes to show that the developers are willing to completely throw a tower under the bus rather than properly balance a mode that has gone (basically) untouched for years and that needed a rebalance anyway Edit: this is outdated cuz they buffed engi, it’s still not as good as accel but it’s better than before Edit2: This is super outdated as Engi got another buff and is now the best tower in the game again (took them long enough)

I also highly recomed to use farm-glad-mortar-dj-engineer loadout. Gscout and glad are interchangeable but i prefer gladiator. This loadout basically flawless and extremely versatile and thus can be used In every gamemode exept maybe pw2 but it's still possible

Yes this is the case, but only BEFORE commander buff is applied. With commander buff, Accel actually outdamages the Engineer while still being cheaper

For me i alway use engi with accel and only in special mode or events because engi and accel is both expensive, also many special mode is great for using engi Badland: counter annoying breaker with Aoe sentry Pizza party (not gonna say it in short): Ball(s)oon with engi which have also high damage at max Pw2 : to counter enemy spamming with aoe sentry

Hey Kenu i would use farm engineer turret g scout and commander for hc because g scout is cracked for hidden bosses and slow bosses even tho glad is better for speed running and good for hc, I still would recommend g scout with engineer. Then your teammates can bring accel and engineer for example: p1 was the first load out. P2: farm, accel, dj, ranger, and ace. P3: farm, medic, engineer, ranger. You can also rate these loadouts with others in the comments.

I feel like a good buff to engineer would just to make the max limit 4 sentries, maybe 5 if you really want engineer to be on par with accelerator. Although 4 is enough since engineer has pseudo-stun immunity, good early-mid-late game, and highest (non commander boosted) dps in game

She used to place 4 sentries max ages ago until they nerfed her to only place 3 max. I think they should make it so her sentries get affected by commander, but her sentries count as units which never get affected by supports.

@@Nickjiko accelerator is 2.5k to my knowledge, not 1.8k. I'm just saying getting rid of engineer's main weakness is a little too broken, I feel like 4-5 sentry placement limit would be enough. Accelerator and engineer are getting rebalanced in the next update though. 4 sentries is back and accelerator is receiving a nerf.

There is an upgread on L4 that cost 3250 money for two santy and th gun dose 15 a shot but L3 cost 3150 total and the gun dose 10 a shot so two will be 20 aso at wave 13 at expert mode its is best to get 2 L3 engineers

1. Engineer's sentries aren't affected by DJ. So you still kinda have to be careful about placements. It also doesn't help that it just shows all the ranges, instead of just showing the engineer's. 2. Level 5 is just poorly designed. Level 5 should've acted as a mid game investment. Basically, it gives the players the option of saving up for a level that will help majorly in mid game. So anything between $5K & $10K is a mid game investment. But since engineer's level 5 is too expensive, nobody gets it. It literally costs $12,500, which is way too much. 3. Engineer just STRUGGLES in mid game. The very cost efficient mid game investment level isn't an option, so you're forced to spam level 1's, 3's & 4's. 4. Set 2 max engineers to last. It's gonna make breakers & mysteries so much more easier to deal with. 5. Even though I'm kinda bashing on engineer, it's still a good option in early game, & it's on par with ranger and pursuit in late game. Pursuit does deal the most DPS, but is the most unreliable. Ranger deals the least, but has the biggest range. Engineer is like a great in between. Decent range, reliable, great DPS, & etc.

But with engineer’s level 5, you have to save up 12,500. If you had 8 level 3 farms, that would take 4 WAVES. That is going to discourage ANYBODY from trying to save up for it.

And even if you get a level 5 engineer, you're not safe from shadow bosses.
