I LOVE the wraparound. When I started playing last year I never really knew that my stick would get torn up so badly, and I have a few with tiny little blades. The wraparound is definitely the best product I’ve gotten.

@@ItsJoshN well I take a lot of shots, probably a few hundred every day, and some pieces of mine have broken off after a week months. It’s super durable tho, and some tape does the trick.

Me and my friends have been using the hcokey wrap around for the past 2 years, and I still am using my first wrap around that I’ve gotten and me and my friends have been going out every single day playing on concrete with it and I even used it in my roller hockey league and it was amazing. Me personally I didn’t notice abs difference in the weight but it feels amazing and is really good for it’s price. I think it is by far the best solution to using expensive stick outdoors

You are probably first one who reviewed durability, thank you very much :). 30 sessions is good enough, but I will probably stick to 2 piece twig with ball hockey blade attached (made of carbon). It differs from my ice twig but still work perfectly in training. Great vid Nasher !

As someone who lives in a part of Texas with no rinks, I use the hockey wraparound a lot to practice in my driveway. It really is a lifesaver. I need one to fit my goalie paddle for when I'm practicing as a goalie lol

I don’t really think you’ll need it for goalie sticks because they don’t wear as much since they aren’t rubbing too much on the ground but yea good idea!

@@matthewmatyuk Yeah for sure, it would be nice to have though just to practice. The concrete driveways here in this part of Texas are pretty rough and uneven which is the main reason I would like one. I'd have sticks wear badly within an hour or two just with the normal rubbing and bumping on the concrete. Mostly because of the bigger rocks sticking up than anything, but it would still be a lifesaver to have so I don't have to risk ruining my paddle while practicing

I actually bought the wraparound after seeing that you use it. I didn’t think I’d need it since I have some decent backup twigs that I’ve had for years but I bought a new twig right before lockdown and figured that I was better getting the wraparound since I didn’t know when I’d get back on the ice and wanted to use it. I still don’t know when I’ll actually get back with a team but I was able to play some pond hockey last weekend at least.

You can get away with doing a strip of tape on the end of the blade and the butt end, especially on the current plastic wraparound since it has its own grip for the puck. Feel free to shoot us an email to [e-mail], we'd be happy to help!

I use that on my true catalyst 7/5x sticks and they are great. They weigh a little bit but it’s worth it because you can use any stick you want outdoors.

Just a heads up you do need a full tape job. I personally only tape my toe (and the heel to keep this on) and it will break easily if you are working on toe drags or slap shots. Broke 2 in a month and now I just go with a 2 piece.

One question. How long does the bottom of the wrap around last before being worn out and starts to fall apart. The product itself not the tape job

One thing I do instead of wrap around is I put 2 or three strips of duct tape on the blade about a quarter inch wide maybe a half inch. It’s a little wasteful but it’s cheaper and lasts longer. Just change the strips of tape every 4 or 5 shifts or if you get good at it you check it every shot and you know when to change it

If I had to make a comment on this product it would be it is very good and protects your stick but the only downside of it is not so durable when you are playing games and you constantly have people whacking your stick but it will still hold up for about I would say 30-40 games

Okay, so... I'm 6'7" and a righty. Short of buying brand new pro stocks, sticks for me don't exist on a shelf at a sporting goods store, and considering I only ever play pickup or just shootaround, I try not to commit tons of money to gear. But, because I'm so tall, my source for sticks is usually the game-used shelf at Jackets games (shouts David Savard and Cody Goloubef). And of course, using already-used composite twigs for street hockey, they don't last spectacularly long and on the cheap end they're $125-$150 sticks. I've been doing this for...call it 10 years? It never even crossed my mind that something like this would exist and now I feel dumb lol

You know what I do to,I like to bring a bar of wax with me and set on the bench and every like 20 mins or so go later the heel and bottom. I notice years ago that it acts as protection for a bit.
