Making sure your liquid cooling loops are leak-free should be among your top priorities. Leaks can damage some of the expensive components in your build, so using a leak tester tool is a must when installing water-based cooling systems.
Enter FLEX!
FLEX is our brand new leak tester that will help you build perfect, leak-free loops. With FLEX, leak testing takes less than 15 minutes, which feels like a split second compared to the traditional 24-hour testing process.
Watch the video to learn how FLEX works and why it is the future of leak testing for liquid cooling systems. Feel free to comment below 👇 and don’t forget to share it with other water cooling enthusiasts who might need a FLEX in their life too.

Had to send my old EK Leak Tester back so it's good to hear EK is redesigning and improving instead of profiting from old subpar tech like a great many companies. Update: just received new EK Leak Tester and it works really well. 😀👍

My loop is done. First one and I used EK's components. Outstanding material and great video help. Thank you for going step by step through this with me. I made a few mistakes here and there, but after using 7 sticks of clear acrylic, I'm ready to pressure test. My last stick, my last bends, I creased the 2 90 degree bends, go figure, the last one. But I'm keeping it, after all, it wouldn't be mine if I didn't get to be reminded not to put the tubing so close to the heat gun 😂 I'll post pics. She's not perfect, but you all did such a great step by step guidance in your videos, I'm confident she'll hold the pressure. Pics to come, and thank you all so much for walking me through this.

This is awesome. Give this crew a raise! I recently got my desktop done...went full Quantum, including the actively cooled backplate. I've been AMAZED by the performance. The mining temps on my 3090's memory dropped from ~110C all the way down to ~70C...that's NUTS!! Keep rocking, everyone!

I ve done this, got a leak, checked all my fittings maybe 10 times a day was not able to find the leak. Then I hadded some water slight after giving up with the pump. I was able to find the leak and directly stopped the waterpump and could fix the leak like this. I guess I was lucky lucky it was one of the fittings that needed even more tightening

Hello! The manual suggested tested pressure "loop - 0.45 bar". Is the "loop" here referring to a completed loop? I.e. should I test my setup with 2 rads, 1 distribution plate, 1 gpu and 1 mobo block at 0.45 bar? Thanks!

Yes, yes, it's all very well, but i finished my computer with the lian-li dk-05F computador table with a custom watercooling with all the EK fittings and tubes, i put 0.5bar on for 15 minutes, no leaks, put the liquid in and turned the computer on, so far so good. After 30 minutes of stress testing cpu and gpu the tube popped out of the gpu radiator with only 29 degrees of liquid temperature. I've only had 2 Corsair I-link fans burn out, Corsair has already said that the warranty doesn't work because it's not a manufacturing problem, now every time I turn on the computer I can't rest easy with this system of fitings.

This was pretty refreshing. I pumped my new build to 15 psi and it dropped to 14 after an hour. I've been anxious since.
@skynetintex5878
@skynetintex5878 Жыл бұрын
So, are you saying that after watching the video, you were OK with it dropping? I've had the same issue and nobody seemed to know. The video suggested that you only needed to measure for 15 mins max. I was measuring over 24 hours and couldn't work out why it was dropping a little bit.
@Alphahydro
@Alphahydro Жыл бұрын
@@skynetintex5878 I was fine, considering I pumped it to a pressure range the system won't ever operate in. Months later and no leaks. What was your target pressure for testing?
@skynetintex5878
@skynetintex5878 Жыл бұрын
@@Alphahydro I've literally just been pumping it up initially to 0.3 bar. It does seem to drop initially and then stabilise, which apparently is normal. I've also heard that you're not really supposed to measure over a long duration and that if you've not had a drop in pressure over 15 mins, that is sufficient.

Can this be used to get air out of a filled loop? I have stubborn air pocket in my CPU block that just keeps coming back.
@Leon_Schuit
@Leon_Schuit Жыл бұрын
Since it can only pump air into your system, I don't think it'll be of any help with that. You'll have to find a way to replace the air in your loop with coolant, in order to permanently get rid of it.

I'm surprised that a company hasn't developed a vacuum fill system for custom loops. Basically you have a hand pump that pulls a vacuum with a valve you close, and then connected to a tee between the pump and system is another valuve you open with a tube you place in a bottle of coolant. Thus using vacuum to fill the loop like they do with advanced automobiles. Vacuum testing is also safer since you can't pull more than 1 atmosphere of vacuum, thus not exploding acetal/acrylic blocks.

It's completely safe and easy to use our Leak Tester and you cannot damage the loop if you follow the instructions :) The pressure of up to 0.6 bar (marked with green on the scale) is nowhere near enough to damage our blocks but is exactly perfect for leak testing.

1. Can this also be used to DRAIN OUT / FLUSH and Clean an EKWB dual loop (GPU+CPU) on a Thermaltake 900 The Tower System. 2. I wish to buy this latest version urgently - but it's just not available in India (older version is) HELP please
@EKWBofficial
@EKWBofficial 2 жыл бұрын
The EK Leak Tester Flex's intended use is to check the systems/components for possible leaks and won't be of much help when draining the system. However, you should always check for leaks after cleaning the system. You can grab your own Leak Tester Flex here: www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-loop-leak-tester-flex
