How to use FltPlan Go app with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020

3:56 an important step not explained in the video is that, in the Flight Events app for Windows, you have to enter the IP address of the device (iPad, iPhone, whatever) that will be running the FltPlan Go app. Do an internet search to see how you can obtain that IP address for your particular device. Then, open the Flight Events app > Settings > enter the device's IP address in the text box; then, check the option about broadcasting to the network. Thank you for the video, though -- I'm happy to see this working finally between my PC and iPad. 👍

Thank you for this. remember to check network and make sure you are broadcasting to net work. You may also need to change permissions in your firewall.

Very much appreciate the information in this video. I was stuck following the instructions from Garmin how to get this working in a simulator environment but it simply doesn't work if you do it the way they say. Using Flight Events Tool and selecting Xplane instead of MSFS was the key but would never come up with it myself. 👍

How are you able to see the flight pin map on your computer is that from a PC installed version of flight plan go or is that a mobile app

When you play a game and you go from KMIA>MKCO on the way you have many waypoints... this app shows you only a straight line from A to B ...can you insert those waypoints from the game into this app so your flight plan on that app is exactly the same as the one on the game map?

You can, but you'd enter them in manually on the app.

Is this still working for you? I just tried it and it isn't connecting to the app. Have the broadcast set. This also isn't working with sim connect.

Yes it is. Are you sure you're connected to the same netowork? Could also be a firewall issue.

Can you send flight plan using the client from the FltPlan Go app to get into MFS2020, or does it only work by getting the data from sim.

I am unsure if you can send a flight plan to MSFS via FltPlan Go. But you can enter your plan into the app

you can open FltPlan Go files (.fpl) in Little Nav Map...then export to MSFS 2020 format!!
