How to Use GA4 Explorations | Free-Form Exploration (Lesson 5)

GA4 exploration reports let you go beyond the standard reports available by default on your property. By using exploration reports, you can carry out your own in-depth analysis to uncover useful details about your website and/or mobile app performance. With exploration reports, you can apply different visualization techniques to dive into your data in detail, or even go further using filters and segments to make sure you see exactly what you need.
Using GA4 explorations is definitely an effective way to get answers to your specific questions.

I'm not sure how to create a plain table with lots of metrics. E.g. I create a table with rows: Country and Metrics: Events and Sessions. I filter the event I want to see with 'event name' to choose my lead form event completions, but then it also filters the sessions to those that complete that event too 🤔

Thank you! This is very informative. How could I generate a report for specific events? Say I only want to see 2 specific event names on the list? The filter only has the "and" condition... Using the "does not include" filter would require excluding a lot of event names to get to just those 2 i need... TUIA

Yes, it is doable. When you set up your filter, you could use matches regex. For example, in Filters: Event name matches regex scroll|click.

How do I save this custom free form, so whenever I enter it the same dimensions and metrics are there?

@@MeasureSchool In my case, they are not saved automatically. I put my dimensions and metrics, and when I exit and enter again, the metric and dimensions are the ones that ga4 suggests.
