How to Use Google Duo

Google Duo is a video messaging app from Google and available on Android, iPhone, tables, and on the web at duo.google.com.
You do need a data plan or wifi in order to use Google Duo. It will not use your minutes for the calls.
You can do 3 main things with Google Duo. You can make Make one-to-one calls, voice, or video and you can also send a message also with voice or video or note. You can also do Group calls with up to 12 people
Calls are private and end to end encrypted.
To start a video chat, select people to add to the chat. You can now name the group as well.
There are also several features inside of Google Duo.
The Knock Knock features. It will give people a glimpse of your video before they decide to answer.
Data saving mode. It will save data but lower your video quality.

Hi Thank you so much for this informative video! I recently started a Facebook page for teaching the Arabic language. I want to know what is the best app for teaching my students online? And is there a way to connect this app to the "book now " button on Facebook? I want my clients whenever they click on the button to get an immediate message on the app about our appointment. (Is this even possible? I'm not a tech savvy 😅) I also want to know how can I open another program while I'm making a video call. Like when your picture get zoomed out to the corner and you open another video or program to explain something. I also want to know if there's anything I can do to improve my internet connection. I live in a third world country and even though I activated the 4G service, when I talked to my client on Google duo, the quality was so bad.

Great editing. My wife and I use the LINE App to video chat when she was in Thailand but I was watching this video to find out if DUO lets you use it on your PC as well something LINE made very difficult to setup if you originally began using LINE on your smartphone. I want to be able to chat with her using the PC's 26 inch screen. It's ok she's in Canada now but I wonder if DUO would work on the PC. Thanks

Quick question... Do you know if after sending a long note message, can you go back and edit it cause it doesn't show the whole message. I know you can minimize it to make it fit the screen before sending, but can you go do the same after sending by accident?

Very helpful for overall use of duo, but brand new and can't make a call out to a user. I can use the keypad but there seems to be no way to actually dial out. Third video I've watched to learn that simple feature...

I don’t think you can. I think you can only call people that also have the app. You can’t dial other numbers

XLNT tutorial. The first I've seen that I can understand at least 98%. I do have a question though. How do you notify a callee that you are calling them if they're not already on their laptop or phone? Is there an audible notification for Android? for Chromebook? for Windows laptop?

If by mistake you check the tick box the the wrong person and then he's been added then How to remove that person from that group??? Hi, it has just happened to me. I tried everything I had to block the person, unfortunately. Or if you know him/ her call and ask them to click on the three dots and leave the group. As far as I know, only the person you added can do that. Sorry about my bad English
