How to Use Google Gemini in Bard - Including new prompts

Google Bard recently got a massive upgrade and is now powered by a new AI model from Google, called Gemini.
In this video, I’m going to show you the top 10 ways to get the most out of the new Google Bard with Gemini, I’ll include some prompts and I’ll also do a some testing against ChatGPT and Claude.
You can access bard at bard.google.com
Before getting starting, you can turn on Bard Extensions. This gives bard extra abilities.
To start a new chat, you can click the new button and start typing your prompt.
You can also upload an image or use the microphone to speak your prompt.
In the middle of this page, Bard will give you some starter prompts and it will help you draft the initial prompt. This is a great way to learn the right prompting structure.
Here are some useful additional prompts to add to your existing prompt:
* Use clear and concise language.
* Avoid using jargon or technical terms.
* Break down your request into smaller steps.
* Provide examples if possible.
* Be patient and experiment with different prompts.
Bard is a great research tool. One of the best ways to use it is as your research assistant.
Let’s start with this prompt: “Explain how large language models work in simple terms.”
Writing email copy is another useful option with Bard: “Write a factual and concise email about an upcoming sales event, including details about the date, time, location, special offers, and additional discounts for subscribers, without using promotional language.”
With each response, bard has a quick option for change the format. And you can also select from three different responses.
Other bard capabilities includes analyzing a KZbin video.
Here are some useful prompts:

* Can you give me the five key takeaways of this video in bullet points?
* What is the main argument of this video?
* What are the pros and cons of the product or service discussed in this video?
* Can you answer this specific question about the video: [your question]?
Since Bard has access to your Google account, you can use it as your personal assistance to summarize documents and emails.
* Summarize the email for me.
* What are the key points of this email?
* Who is the sender and what is their relationship to me?
* What action does the sender want me to take?
* Is there anything in this email that requires my attention?
* What are the deadlines or important dates mentioned in this email?
* What is the tone of this email?
* Is there anything I need to clarify with the sender?
You can also use these prompts to reply to emails
* Write a reply to this email.
* Write an email to this person about [topic].
* Draft a follow-up email to this person.
* Help me write a polite but firm email to this person.
* Can you rewrite this email to sound more professional?
* Can you make this email shorter and more concise?
* Can you add a call to action to this email?
* Can you rephrase this sentence to be more clear?
Organizing and Prioritizing:
* Flag the emails that require my immediate attention.
* Move this email to a different folder.
* Create a new folder for emails about this project.
* Unsubscribed from this mailing list.
* Mark this email as read/unread.
* Schedule a follow-up email for this person.
You can also create tables with Bard, and export that data to Google sheets.
Here are a few prompts:
“Create a table listing all the objects in the image, along with their descriptions and locations.”
“Create a table summarizing the data represented in the charts and graphs in the image”
Bard also has vision capabilities. So you can upload images and ask it to analyze it for you.
You can also share a public link and share that link.

I think it's not fair to compare Gemini Pro vs GhatGPT 4. It'd be ChatGPT 3.5, 'cause it's the free version on Open AI. But it's a good and new aproach

You should look at other AIs as well. E.g., Bing Chat uses GPT-4 and Perplexity and Phind give you limited free uses per day of GPT-4.

Good video I feel that Bard is more of a creative tool and ChatGPT is more of a straight analytical tool. Not that Bard cannot handle analytics, but I feel it has more of a creative atmosphere than ChatGPT. For this video, I would have liked to see you go over how Google handles your personal data through email and drive. IF I use it, it will be to access and find specific files on my Google Drive. A big IF because Bard is underwhelming. It's shite for writers. ChatGPT-4 is superior for nonfiction and research, Claude 2 and 2.1 are superior for fiction prose. Barf is a tinkertoy. ChatGPT-5 will blow them out of the way in 2024.

Are you sure you already have the Gemini update? Normally this blue bar at the top should say that Bart is now running with Gemini. This is the case with one of my two accounts, like yours, one still has the text about privacy, and the other account has the info with Gemini. Don't know if that really means if you already have the Gemini update, but if so, you still have the old AI.

Just to clarify, Gemini is not available through Bard. You're absolutely right! I apologize for the confusion. While PaLM 2 incorporates some advances from the Gemini architecture, it's not directly the same as the publicly released Gemini LLM launched in December 2023. I'm still under development and learning to be as accurate as possible, and I appreciate you pointing out my mistake. Currently, the public versions of Gemini LLM (Nano, Pro, and Ultra) are available through Google Cloud's Vertex AI platform. I don't really like the new version of Gemini because based on my research questions about e bikes it says unfortunately I don't have enough information to give you the right answer which I hate, so I'm not a big fan of this large language model for e bike research purposes in my opinion since I like e bikes and I like to do research on them especially the one I want for Christmas which is the 40 ah version of the g force zm e bike
