The editing out the dust in post production triggered me 😵💫. Great explanation! Thank you for sharing your process.

Thank you for the explanation of when to use it. Never thought about the soft, dreamy use.

You're very welcome Chuck. It just changes the mood so much in the photo. Definitely not something I use too much but when it calls for it, it's always a "wow" moment for the couple. Thank you for watching!

Great video Elmer. Most of the time that is the only way to keep the sky from blowing out. Good job. 👍

Thank you, John! It really is just a great little tool to add to your arsenal. Definitely not something that we use all the time but when we do, it always gets a great reaction from our couples 🙌 Thank you for watching 🙏

HSS with rear curtain shutter is a great look for action showing a motion blur...that would have been a great option for that Cyclist shot
@TNKPhoto9 ай бұрын
Truuuuue! I don’t think Sony does rear sync (could be wrong, please correct if so). I did do a panning shot like you’re describing with another cyclist shoot where the background looked blurry/in motion. Great suggestion 🙌

Midday sun, ad200pro. Which light modifiers are usable in HSS?
@TNKPhoto9 ай бұрын
Hey Garbid! I posted a video on midday sun with the ad200. It’s older so I plan on updating it but check it out below: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nqeroHWHeM6bsKMsi=rlhOVVl3zSATsKa4 Distance plays into it. So if the flash is a lot closer then you can use something like a soft box or modifier. You can always Photoshop it out in post if you place it in the right spot. If it’s a wide shot, I usually don’t put a modifier because you’re not really seeing close-up details on the skin anyway. In the video, I explained a little bit of that and show some examples
@Garbid9 ай бұрын
@@TNKPhoto Thank you very much! What about for wide shots use just 2 ad200 with fresnel heads from too sides lets say at 5 and 7 o' clock. With difference let's say 2 stops. One as a key and second as a fill?
@TNKPhoto9 ай бұрын
@@Garbid Two is definitely better than one to overpower the sun. However, it depends on how you want the light to be shaping your subject. Sometimes I have the light coming completely from the side if I'm having them look that direction. So for example, if I have someone on camera left, looking towards that direction, I may have my flash just outside of the frame and having the light(s) come from that side so there's a nice directional look. Remember that the direction of light will change the quality and mood significantly. If you have two flashes coming from similar directions next to you, it'll fill in for sure but it'll also be a bit more flat. But it's whatever you want it to look like

@TNKPhoto9 ай бұрын
Ooooooo so more how to set your ambient exposure and then introduce flash. Check this video out: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aXe3lq1qqpKgpc0si=gBdGxeujX_kETs-C Lemme know if that’s more or less what you’re thinking

Another great video 🙌🏼 Could you use HSS with multiple flashes?
@TNKPhoto9 ай бұрын
Thank you JonCris! That’s a great question! You can as long as all the flashes can do hss 😎 so two ad200s or 600 and tt685 would work

Haha I always walk up to them and say “now, when your friends say it’s photoshop, let em know it isn’t 😂 “ then we show them the hss shot. They just look surreal! 🙌
