Totally wrong method of supporting by the assistant, the branch man himself should hold the branch and connect it with the hose, Remember: crew members of fire hydrant and hose drill/operation are- 1. Branch man 2. Assistant to branchman 3. Messenger 4. Hydrant operator... Signals used are- 1. Water on, 2. Increase the pressure, 3. Decrease the pressure 4. Water off 5. Knock off & make up...

Because it’s impossible to hold like that longer then 10min. I don’t know who’s still teaching it like this? Bring the hose between your legs and hold it down at the end of the hose! The brass spraynozzle becomes so cold from the water it can freeze youre fingers and then you can’t control the hose! What i,m seeing over here is zero knowledge and no use of brains either!
