How to use if-else statement in Simulink model

Just a tip: you can use the polynomial block to compute the polynomial equations more easely.

Sir @8:50, what if we use an add block instead of merge and a scope in last, may be that will also give the same response because every other block will provide output only when their subsequent action block will be triggered and otherwise it would be 0. So, output must display the same result. Or I am wrong somewhere ?
