Hello Raghav, Thank You so much for this tutorial. Please let me know if there is an Object Repository on Katalon Recorder. So that I can reuse the same object in another test suite/ case?

Unfortunately, Katalon Recorder (the browser extension) doesn't have a built-in object repository like the full Katalon Studio does. That means you can't directly store and reuse objects across different test suites or cases within the Recorder itself. However, there are a couple of workarounds you can use: Copy and Paste: You can manually copy the object locator (e.g., XPath, CSS selector) from one test case and paste it into another. Not the most elegant solution, but it gets the job done. Custom Keywords: If you're comfortable with a bit of scripting, you can create custom keywords in Katalon Studio that interact with specific objects. Then, you can export these keywords and import them into Katalon Recorder for reuse. Upgrade to Katalon Studio: If you find yourself needing the full power of an object repository and other advanced features, consider upgrading to the full Katalon Studio. It offers a more robust testing environment with better object management capabilities. -

Thank you sit, it was helpful, I am looking to automate one process, where in this has to upload the documents from here to a designated share point, but in order to upload those docs it needs a process wherein a form needs to be filled and has to be sent out for approval, until then this tool should wait for the approval to be accepted and then resume and start uploading docs, it should happen every release, is that possible? Pls advise

Hi Bhavya, we have to consider all the platforms involved like web, api, desktop, mobile etc and see if our tool, platform or framework can handle this. And if yes you can try to automate the scenario. On the other hand while doing automation, we also check what is the feasibility and ROI of automating a process and scenario, If there is any work around available, Can this be disabled in testing env if something is very complex and on automating ROI is not good

HI Stephen you can use Katalon Studio for that, the other way will be You can hover on a test suite name on the Test Suites tree (on the left), click on the “three dots” icon, and choose “Save Test Suite As…” to save a test suite Now you can use git to push your changes to a cloud repo.
