This is meant for long distance road trips where it really shines. An invaluable feature in that scenario.

Can I haven just curve control with acc/ SSC and disable automatic speed based on speed limits?

You can use the Smart Cruise Control without adhering to the speed limit, but if you want to have the gps slow down for the curves you have to be at the speed limit

Thank you for the video. Can you disable the navigation highway assist and just use regular stop and go cruise control - the adaptive cruise control?

Yes, you can either disable it in the settings, or just set the cruise control speed to any speed besides the exact speed limit on the road you're on, if you do that it won't be active.

They just over complicated it. The regular stop & go cruise control is more than enough.

I agree. It's an interesting concept, and someday when map data and GPS transponders are more accurate, and when self-driving tech is more advanced it may work great. But for now it's sort of a waste of time. I do love adaptive cruise though.
