Yo, this is so dope! No lie! I spent thousands of dollars obtaining degrees (still paying off my studernt loan) in Graphic Design, then another degree Web Design. Then, yet another degree in Fashion Design. Countless hours and money spent in learning Adobe Suite and various softwares, for example CAD. SIgh! This is literally revolutionary. I want to get into the sign making industry , but I still want to hand paint the signs. Of course this would help cut design time down and showing a client and rendition to keep their interests, I was wondering if this could be also used the cut down production time. Could the designs created given like an inch border around the design be loaded loaded into a cnc program to load more than one design to be cut out of a sheet of whatever material?

Hey there! Yes we have many users using Kittl designs along with their CNC machine. You can export designs as an SVG (vector) in the Pro and Expert accounts.

We received our glowforge over the weekend and working to learn the ins and outs of its operations. When you were working with the heritage brewing co logo , is there any way that the program can place an outline around the logo that matches the shape ? The reason I am asking is that with the glowforge black lines are etched while red lines are cut thru. If a fitted border line could be done that would be awsome !

Hey there! There is a decoration effect over in the Text Effects panel on the left where you can cut a letter in half and make it two different colors. But you cannot make individual letters different colors if they are part of the same text box.

Haha, it WILL be free forever unless you WANT to upgrade (which you can see via your subscription page from clicking on your avatar). The Pro and Expert accounts are a paid subscription that allow you vector download options.

@@Kittldesign Free lo-res files doesn't really fulfill my needs... I need files that I can use to integrate with my other artwork and set up for hi-quality output (print)... I understand the need for a fee. But I don't think that I'd use it often enough to justify the cost. I really do like the way it works and hope y'all do well with it. Guess I'll just have to keep working to learn "how to" use Affinity Designer for my occasional vector art needs.

Hey there. Kittl definitely works on any operating system, as all you need is wifi and to open your web browser, and log in! And since it works right in your browser, you don't need any other downloadable software. Kittl works completely on its own. :)

Hey Sheri, you can currently use Kittl on your iPad, but it is not 100% completely and there are many known issues, so keep that in mind. iPhone and mobile support is not ready yet, but you will get an email when it is if you are signed up for the newsletter!

Nice easy to use app. I used it when it was still Heritage Designer (In fact the logo you see here I designed in Heritage Designer), and I tried it again this AM as Kittl. But Kittl will not open now. When I try to go there it tells me that it through an invalid response and that it could not provide a secure connection. What is going on?

I am new to Kittl. When I first created my account I received questions on how to improve Kittl. Yes, after using it for awhile, could you add a way to change the DPI? I created a Tshirt design and the design was 25 Mb and it was too big to upload to some Tshirt sales sites. Also, can you make the lock to unlock so you change the size of the graphic? - I did see this option in settings though. Thank you. Your program Rocks!

Hey there! You can definitely change the DPI by switching over to Inches from Pixels. The reason that setting doesn't show for pixels is because you can set the exact pixel ratio you would like (therefore being the right DPI you need), but when working with inches, you will see DPI show up when you go to export, and you can choose the exact setting you like. AH! Yes, your design is actually saved immediately, as we have an auto-saving feature enabled (you can also manually save by going up and clicking on the "save project" text at the top of your screen. So once you click on your avatar and go back to "my profile" or "my projects" you will see your project! Let me know if you need additional help :)

Hey there! Yes, you can select the artboard itself, and then you can turn off the color from the color panel on the right. You will see checkers on the board once you do this. OR, you can simple select "remove background" from the download button and it will make your design export transparent.

Why does the png output have a background even after I've hidden it and made it 100% transparent? Can't seem to fix this

Hey there! Sometimes if you are using a template made by another artist, they will occasionally have a whole square in the background (as a solid color), which would need to be deleted before exporting with the remove background tab switched on. Try seeing if the design has a solid shape in the background that can be deleted!
