Esta herramienta es muy util, pero la pregunta es: "cuando actualizar por el metodo crossflash o por LGup" por ejemplo el G8 y su familia, G8s y G8x de sprint se actualizan por crossflash eliminando particiones FTM, OP_a, OP_b, modem_a, modem_b, syd_a, syd_b, con el QFIL, ese metodo circula mucho por la web, pero cuando se intenta crossflash con un celular de operadora LATAM ocurre un error y el celular entra a un brick, pienso que el metodo mas fiable para estos casos es usar la de este video.

This LGUP tool is a pain in the ass. How to install the DLL? You need to run some MSI? \ step 1> install this version of LGUP step 2. install this MSI file step 3.) copy this file to this location But always always always the link to step 2 will be missing or the link to step 1 will be the wrong version. It is like voodoo. I typed into google, this LGUP_common_DLL_Ver_1_1_0_29.msi file that you use in the video IS NOT PUBLIC so this is a complete waste of time.

Its not voodoo and definitely not a waste of time. Different devices, different dlls. This is why the description of this video contains a link which in turn links to different dlls. You can start from the latest dll we have. If none works then its down to a dll hunt on Google.
