Tried out linear after watching this. I use 13/13 sensitivity with a 0.85 low ads. Have used dynamic since I started playing and had seen videos saying don’t use linear so never tried it. After a couple of games I can say that actually linear has really helped with me with small adjustments to my aim. Especially when people are dodging about. I have tendon damage on my right hand and often lose close up gun fights when people jump about as dynamic doesn’t react quick enough. I didn’t realise it was the response curve type that could be the problem. I just knew that there was something off with how my aim responded in certain situations. I always felt it was slow to react. After a few games I’ve now found it easier to make small corrections and my accuracy has actually gone up in those games I played. This has worked for my as my range of motion with my thumb is limited and not smooth as the muscle between my thumb and first finger is atrophied due to the damage to my wrist and the subsequent recovery. honestly linear is the hardest to master of all of them. most people dont know what it really does. standard and dynamic both lower your sensitivity of your stick for smaller movements. this means, if you do small movements with your stick, these settings help you to not "spasm" all over the place with your crosshair and make minor adjustments without over correcting. dynamic then increases the sensitivity for larger movements so you can still flick quicker when you push your stick to the outside border. linear on the other hand does nothing at all. it handles small inputs the same way as fast larger inputs of the stick. this makes it really hard to do smaller, fine adjustments and leads to a lot of over reaching. it does feel snappier how ever because a small input already has a big effect. i personally play on linear because i mostly quick scope and like the more snappy feeling. i have a hard time however when i would use a AR for long range because the small adjustments are very hard to do. it requires a lot of calmness and experience to do tiny stick inputs even under stress. the reward is a snappier overall feeling and that linear will always feel the same in all games because theres no algorythm behind it that artifically guides your aim. 90% of the playerbase will definitely have worse aim with linear and will perform better with standard or dynamic. on linear they will also flick faster on enemies but their crosshair will be mostly off by an inch or so, not where they expect it to be. if someone really wants to put it to work and get used to it I would recommend investing 3 days of straight plunder gameplay. dont really go headhunting but run around and imagine that doors or windows are enemies. try to flick on it. in the beginning you aim will he off af, and a door or window is twice to tripple the size of an actual enemy lol however, after some days you will either nail it or switch back to dynamic or standard. you will definitely need to lower your ads multiplier for long range engagements though in most cases

There’s no perfect settings.. it depends on the player , everybody is different.. maybe you will be the best using standard maybe dynamic maybe linear you just gonna have to test it for yourself even for sensitivity there’s no perfect sensitivity maybe 4-4 will feel like 10-10 for or maybe the opposite. So just find your own settings guys

I play on 20-20 and the most "beamy" setting for me after learning them all and testing them, has been dynamic. Linear is good for lower sensitivities imo.

since i got the game in January of this year i started right off the bat with linear and ended up with my sens being 18-18 with 0.85 low ads and 0.04 deadzone. ive always had good aim on controller and its what felt best for me. Recently i switched to dynamic on 20-20 with 0.85 low ads and 0.04. Dynamic feels like a toned down linear and allows me to be more precise on high sens. Me personally id recommend linear for low sens players and dynamic for higher sens players they kind of complement each other very well kind of like a ying and yang.

Standard is acceleration (start slow, speeds up) Linear is X=Y (no speed change) Dynamic is deceleration (start fast, slow down) A lot of dynamic players play really low sens (anywhere from like 4 to 7). I snipe with it so I'm on 12 X 12 Y (cold war sens, so somewhere near 15 to 17 on MW) Deadzone I myself turned higher a bit (10 on Cold war), but its somewhat personal preference. Fov and extra stuff hardly affected tho.

The difference from linear compare with standard and dynamic it's. Linear it's the REAL SENSITIVITY, dynamic and Standard are altered sensitivities ( not real). That's the reason why it's more consistent .
