Hi Andy, from my understanding, your LOD: AVG({INCLUDE [Customer Name]: SUM([Sales])}), is the same as SUM([Sales])/COUNTD([Customer Name]); Is that correct? If so, which expression is faster in tableau calculation? Thanks!

Actually the " LOD: AVG({INCLUDE [Customer Name]: SUM([Sales])}) " doesn't get the average when I tested it , it give the same result as the sum(sales)

did you calculate it within the 'table' set up (since it is 'Include' LOD calculation, you need the table to be the first agg level)? I got the same result using LOD: AVG({INCLUDE [Customer Name]: SUM([Sales])}) as SUM([Sales])/COUNTD([Customer Name])
