I think the grappling is lame tbh. Not enough options defensively, which grapplers take advantage of to lame out rounds. Plus with online latency you feel robbed of half of your denials from bottom. I could deal with this in all the other games through strong takedown defense, but between the additional left stick denials or you fail, and blocking low instead of having the right stick specifically for stuffing takedowns, they ruined TDD in UFC 4.

Hold L2 + R2 to defend normal back drag. Don't push the Left analog stick unless you see them turn the drag up or down(you'll have to learn the animations) because if you do it will act like you're trying to defend a turn and they'll get the normal back drag. Just like if you deny a turning takedown the wrong way it's an automatic takedown.
