From what I can tell yes! As you can see in the video this way uses art net. Art net is used in most consoles if not all (except for not digital). Now if you do the same thing and go into protocals on MA2 you should see the same thing. Hope this helped. -jazz productions.

It will work with MA2 onPC as long as you have one of the onPC hardware devices connected, but at that point, all of their hardware that would work already has DMX outs on it. MA2 onPC does not give you a free universe like dot2.

Hey i tried the tutorial and it worked but i just got a lot of new fixtures and the open dmx interface is having trouble with so many fixtures so i was planning to buy a enntec dmx pro adapter but when i select that interface and i restart the software it just would not save it and i dont know if its gonna work because i want to know if it will still work before i buy the interface

You need MA hardware to unlock paramaters for MA2, you could however buy an MA3 vis key and have paramters unlocked in mode3

Do you have to go through this process every time? What bits would you have to do at the gig?

It depends. If you set your show file up properly then it will work and save. The only thing I would think have to be fixed depending on what your set up was would be the art net. Other than that if you save your art net program and leave all you will have to do at gig is open up and start your session and open up art net on console.

Hi Andrew, Firstly, have you done the GrandMA2 on PC video yet? Also is this something we would have to configure every use of the software? Secondly, have you got any experience with mapping a mixture of USB midi controllers like the Akai APC40 or the Beringer BCF2000 Lastly, I have a Martin USB to DMX adapter, do you know if this would work like the Enttec or not, just thought id ask. Steve HYTEQ best thing to do would be to test the interface and see if its on the dropddown menu on the art net to dmx software. You can map midi to dot2 using tools>midi config. But most people get bomes midi translator. Which makes it easer and lets you use faders

I Figured out how to fix this issue. use the command in the dot2 command line "SetIP "Microsoft KM-TEST Loopback Adap (Ethernet 2)" 13.13.13.13" You may also want to set the ip to 2.13.13.13

All universes on MA2onPC is forbidden to be output via Artnet unless a wing, a node, an NPU or a console is connected to the computer. It's said that some hackers successfully created some sort of "unlocker" which emulates an MA NSP and subsequently "cheats" MA2onPC to send out Artnet signals, but I can't find any.

No. It will only work with the cheap ones that use free styler. This is a good thing cause other dmx device cost 50-3000 dollars as these cheap ones cost around 2-10 dollars.
