How to use manual Keratometer

Manual keratometer measure the radius of curvature of the anterior (front) corneal surface of the eye. Assessment of corneal shape is important aspect in IOL power calculation and also the prior to contact lens fitting.

Normal Range: 36 to 52D on B & L keratometer , Add +1.25D lens in front of aperture to extend the range to 61D and Add -1.00 to extend the range to 30D. (Answer to my last slide and most favorite viva question by examiners) Thank you.
