This is an amazing tool, inserted after the mastering chain and sonarworks! Wicked
@royalinvasionproductionstv63703 жыл бұрын
So you put sonar works last in the mastering chain?
@AirArtStudiosOfficial3 жыл бұрын
@@royalinvasionproductionstv6370 yes I do, sorry I actually wrote it confusing. It’s really good and has helped me hear the energy in the audio at different frequencies. Learnt so mych

I understand the mastering chain part, how would you suggest my order go with a plugin like mixchecker and sonar works in the chain as well?
@AirArtStudiosOfficial3 жыл бұрын
@@royalinvasionproductionstv6370 sonar works always has to be the last part of any chain :)

This tutorial was pretty unorganized. Thanks for the upload but like 5 minutes to get to the basic functions is crazy. Some sort of scripting or story boarding would have helped

Story boarding?! Are you joking? Lmao........This is a plugin overview, not a high budget sitcom.

How do you remove tracks from the plugin?
@damianpress4 жыл бұрын
thanks for sharing, i appreciate anyone at least trying to educate! some constructive advice. Your voice over is way too compressed, the bass boost is too much also. The mouth clicks and pops are way too loud, due to over compression and eating the mic. a declicker would help. Hope that helps

I use control room for AB referencing, but I have to match the RMS/LUFS manually. If Steinberg updates control room to auto-match the RMS like Metric AB, you wouldn't need this.
@markbeling33305 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the video. How do you drag and drop without the plugins disappearing as soon as you move the file you want to drop into Metric AB , as soon as I move the file over Cubase, the plugins disappear. I have turned “ always on top “ off , both options have the same issue
@Natt-do2fm5 жыл бұрын
Yeah this is a Cubase issue... you can set a favourites folder in the file browser in Cubase and just drag from the internal browser to the plugin.

When using the match function, what is being matched? RMS, LUFS, or another weighting? It's doesn't say in the manual and it's pretty important. A track with a higher mean volume can sound quieter than a track with a lower mean volume but higher LUFS?

Aux channels work in Ableton, as well as Groups... as your "control room." I think thats just a fancy word for "AUX Buss Channel," but its weird that Cubase has one single stage that goes before the master buss. Ableton can also now have groups within groups, which is convenient. I switched to REAPER. Superior audio playback, rendering, and better handling of VST's (less CPU, highest quality) than any other DAW. The new Cubase and Pro Tools releases have some neat stuff in them, but the dev's of REAPER are already working those into the next update. I've used Logic, Ableton, Cubase, Pro Tools, sf Acid Pro, and some others. I haven't used Studio One, but it would be a distant 2nd to REAPER for me (mainly because of CPU limitations).

sorry to say this but i've seen several of Nate's tutorials and this is par for the course. They tend to be meandering and lack focus.
